The Mayor then appointed Councilmen Ackley, Adams, Boone, Harrington, Parker, and Steunenberg, and Street Commissioner Campbell, as police to e'erve without pay. � I i I I L It was voted on motion of Adams that the Water Commissioner be instructed to extend the water mains on main street to 12th Avenue. Mr.Campbell stated that the County Commissioners had asked permission to use the cities road roller and grader on some of the roads leading into the city. It was voted on motion of Ackley that the matter be referred to the street comm- - issioner with power to act. Mr.Curtis Haydon,presi dent of the library board,of the City of Caldwell,Idaho, appeared in behalf of the said board.Mr.Haydon stated that the library board had finally secured the promise of the Carnegie Corporation,of New York City, of a don- ation of $12,500.00,for the purpose of erecting a librar,*, here.He submitted plane and specifications of the proposed new library building,which had been approved by the Carnegie Corporation. He also submitted the contract between Williams and Mun- ford and the library board for the erection of the said building,together with the bond of the said Williams and Munford.Said bond being in favor of the library board and bonding Williams and Munford as principals and the National Surety Company as surety in the sum of $4,740.00,and conditioned on the faithful performance by the
