Council met in regular session pursuant to ad- journment with Mayor Gowen, presiding, and Councilmen Devers, Farrar, Gartin, Paynter, Present; Shorb, Clerk. Walter Griffiths appeared and asked privilege to pay for Sidewalks built by the city before Lot e4, Block 38; Lots 1 and 24, Block 5; and Lots 1 and 24, Block 14, Golden Gate Addition, which privilege is eran'Ced provided the assesscr.ents have not al- ready beJ, certified up to the County Assessor. Fred Harrington appeared and asked that permission be granted the Idaho Mlaat to build a slaughter house just at the edge of the City limits. Councilmen Clark enters. Plat of the Blatchley's Addition to Caldwell was approved on motion of Farrar. Resolution No. 14, by Paynter, "providing d'or the construction of a sidewalk according to Plan 2 of Ordinance 62 of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, along Fil.lr,,ore Street in front of lots 13 to 21 inclusive in Block 101, original townsite; Dots 8o to 24 inclusive in Block 101 Strahorn's Addition; Lots 13 to 24 inclusive in Blocks 126, 125, 124, and 123, Strahorn's Addition; Lots 1 to 6 inclusive in Block 127, Lots 1 to 12 „in Blocks 128, 129, 130, 131,, Strahorn's Addition; all in the City of Caldwell., Idaho, and providing for the payment of such construction by an assessu:ent levied against the property fronting or abutting on said sidewalk," was read.
