SPECIAL MEETING
October 17, 1984
9:30 a.m.
The Meeting was called to order by Mayor McCluskey.
The roll of the City Council was called with the following
members present: Carter, Mallea, Marcus, and Norman. Absent:
Raymond and Cowles.
(APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 27 -84 - AGREEMENT SMITH INTERNA`T'IONAL
ASSOCIATION OF FIREFIGHTERS)
The Mayor explained that the reason for the Special Meeting being
called was to approve the Firemen's contract for 1984 -85.
Councilman Carter stated that he did meet with the firemen that
morning and they had agreed to the removal from the Agreement of
the Manpower Requirements, Article XVI, Section A. This Article
has now been deleted from the Agreement and was ready for
approval from the City Council.
The Mayor read Resolution No. 27 -84 as follows:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CALDWELL AND THE
INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF I ?IREFIGHTERS.
BE IT RESOLVED That the Mayor and City Clerk of the
City of Caldwell be, and the same hereby are, authorized to
execute that certain contract agreement attached hereto and
made a part hereof as if set forth in full by and between
the City of Caldwell and the International Association of
Firefighters.
MOVED by Carter, SECONDED by Norman that Resolution No. 27 -84 be
passed authorizing the execution of the contract agreement
between the City of Caldwell and the International Association of
Firefighters.
Roll call vote. Those voting yes: Carter, Mallea, Marcus, and
Norman. Those voting no: none. Absent and not voting: Raymond
and Cowles.
MOTION CARRIED
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at
9:40 a.m.
