The matter of the 4itjr oarrying Public Liability Insurance on its equipment
came to the attention of the Council. It was voted on motion of M000mel, aeoopded
by Pavia, that the matter be referred to the Finance Oommittee for investigation.
Reports for the month of September 1987, of the Oity Q1erk,Fire jbief, Tourist
Park, Sexton and Gasoline by Fire chief, was read and ordered filed.
It was voted on motion of Mo4onnel, seconded by Hoffman, that the office of
Traffic Policemen be discontinued as a matter of economy.
It was voted on motion of putton, seconded by Hoffman, that that the surety
Bond of R. E. Wagner in the am of $1000.00 be approved and placed on file.
It was voted on motion of Davis, seconded by M000nnel, that aocncil Aidjouae}
to October 17, 1987.

Council met in regular eeasion /with Mayor 30anjkap presiding and -the following
Councilmen present; DUTTON, HOSE4W, MOOONNEL AND RUMFORD. ABSENT; DAVIS AND JACKSON.
The Clerk was instructed to write to Boise and Twin Falls for information
regarding Automatic Traffic Signals.
It was voted on motion of putton, seconded by Rumford, that the City buy
uniforms for two policemen.
The itreet Committee was instruoted to have the College of Idaho to haul sand
to be put on -Indians and Ash Streets at Twenty -five (88) cents per load.
Fred Bose was instructed to secure a one yard bucket and hoist to be used for
the rook orusher.
RESOLUTION NO. 4.
WHEEMS, It appears from that certain judgement docketed in
the office of the es- officio clerk and recorder of Canyon County, Idaho,
on September 80th, 1911, that the City of Caldwell obtained a judgement
against on J. A. $dement for costs in the sum of 486.85; and
WHEREAS, Said judgement has become outlawed and is no longer in
force and offset, but appears as a cloud on tha title to certain real set ate
situated in the bounty of Canyon and State of Idaho, described as
The Southwest Quarter (WS*) of the South.
west Quarter (SW &), Section one (1), Township three
(3) North, Range three (8) West of the Boise Meridian;
Which said property is now the property of one E. J. Look; and
WHEREAS, Said judgement is of no value to the City of Caldwell, Idaho
and it is proper that the same should be released in order to remove the
cloud on the . title of said property;
NOW, THRREPORE BE IT RESOLVED By the 4yor and 4ouncil of the
City of Caldwell, Idaho, that Hugh N. Caldwell, the city Attorney of said

city, be, and hereby 1s authorized to release and-satisfy said Judgement."
It was voted on Notion of 1ftumford, seoonded by Hoffman, that the above Resolutia
No. 4-ba adopted.
It was voted on motion of Hoffman, seconded by Modonnel that Counoil adjourn to
October 20, -1927, at 8:30, P. M.

RESOLUTION NO. 5, ENTITLED " A RESOLUTION ADOPTING AGREEMENT BETWEEN OREGON
SHORTLINE RAILROAD OOMPANY AND CITY OF CALDWELL RELATIVE TO CONSTRUCTION O$ WATER MAIN
THROUGH RIGHT -OF -SPAY OF THE RAILROAD COMPANY ON -AVER STREET."
"WHEREAS, -The City of Caldwell oomtemplat.es the contraction and subsequent
maintenance and operation of a four inch water pipe line underneath and arose a portion
of the right of way of the Oregon Short Line Railroad Company within the limits of Avon
Street in the Oity of daldwell, Canyon Bounty, Idaho; and
"WHEREAS. it is necessary to the constraotion of said main, to enter into an
agreement with the Oregon Short Line Railroad dompany for the privilege of constructing
said water main through and along the right of wqy of said railroad company; and -
"WHEREAS, Motion was duly made, and carried that proper resolution be
drawn authorizing the Maypr of the dity of daldwell to enter into proper contract with
said railroad company for securing the privilege of constructing said water main;
"NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL
IDAHO:
"Section 1, That the Mayor of the City of Caldwell be, and he hereby is, author
ized and directed to enter into Such oontrabt with the said Oregon Short Line Railroad
dompany on behalf of the sand Gity of daldwell, for the purpose of securing the privilege
of building and constructing said water main through and across a portion of the right of
way of said railroad company within the limits of Avon Street in the Gity of daldwell."
