Motion carried. It was moved by Sandmeyer, and seconded by Bollman that the Council adjourn to reconvene on October 16, 1929 at 8:00 P. M. Motion carried. APPROVED: /� T Q Cam✓ A ng uIerg Mayor. Owing to the absence of the City Clerk„ the- Mayor appointed Mr.. W. C. Dyer am �� Acting Clerk,' and announced that the Council was in session•for the consideration of any 'business which might lakfu.11y come' before it. Coming as a special orde'r of business the Mayor celled the attention to the Council to the matter of considering the bids for the furnishing of materials and labor. for the construction of a Street Iaghting System in Local Street Improvement District No 10. By unanimous consent all 'bids 'submitted for the furnishing of steel or iron lighting posts were eliminated from consideration. After careful consideration of the bids by the Mayor and Council, it was moved by Gordon an4 seeonded,by Leighty that Proposal "A" of Clarence W. Silver Co. for the furnishing of material,end labor for completion of installation of an electric lighting system in Local Street District No. 10, in accordance with the plans and specifications and the furnishing of all materials and labor for the complete installation for the sum of x23,561.51 be accepted, and that the contract for the same be awarded to said Clarence W. Silver Co., and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized and directed Ft. The vote of the Councilmen having resulted in a tie vote, the Mayor east the deciding vote, which was in the affirmative and in favor of the adoption of said motion. Anderson, appeared before the Council and inquired in regards to wrecking old house on Corner Belmont and No. Kimball (Lots 1 & 2 Block 34 Original) The Mayor directed the Clerk to read the minutes of the previous meeting, which were ordered approved as read. Thereupon Councilman Bollman introduced Bill No. 8, By Bollman entitled: AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REASSESSMENT OF BENEFITS FOR LOCAL IMPROVEMENTS MADE IN LOCAL'STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT N0. 7 FOR THE CITY OF CALDWELL,•IDAHO, AND PROVIDING FOR °THE PREPARATION, CERTIFYING, FILLING AND CONFIRMATION OF A HEW ASSESS- MENT ROLL FOR-SAID IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT: FOR THE COLLECTION OF THE ASSESSMENTS MADE THEREUNDER: AND FOR THE PAYMENT OF WARRANTS ISSUED IN PAYMENT OF THE COST OF SAID IMPROVEIam.
