Council met in regular session persuant to adjournment of Oct. 7, 1929, with Mayor MoConnel presiding, and Councilmen BOLLMAN, DICKENS, GORDON, JOHNS, LEIGHTY AND SANDI=R, PRESENT. ABSENT: NONE. Owing to the absence,of the City Clerk, the,Mayor appointed Mr. W. C. Dyer as Acting Clerk, and announced that the Council was in session for the consideration of any business which might lawfully come before it. This being the date set for opening bids called for in Local Street Improvement District No. 10, the Clerk presented to the Council the Affidavit of Publication of the Notice of Receiving Bids in Local Street Improvement District No. 10, which affidavit was and is in words and figures as follows, to -wit: I Lin. Motion carried. It was moved by Sandmeyer, and seconded by Bollman that the Council adjourn to reconvene on October 16, 1929 at 8:00 P. M. Motion carried. APPROVED: ' A ng Clar mayor. JOHNS, LEIGHTY AND SANDMEYFR, present. ABSENT: NONE. Owing to the absence of the City Clerk, the Mayor appointed Mr.. W. C. flyer as. Acting Clerk, and announoed that the Council was in session for the. consideration .of any `business whic'h might VWfully come' before it. Coming as a special orde'r of business the Mayor called the attention to -the council to the matter of considering the bids for the furnishing of materials and labor for the construction of a Street tighti'ng System in Local street Improvement District No. 10. By unanimous consent all 'bids 'submitted for the furnishing of steel or iron lighting posts were eliminated from consideration. After carefu] consideration of the bids by the Mayor and Connoil, it was moved by Gordon and seconded by Leighty that Proposal "A" of Clarence W. silver Co. for the ' furnishing o$ material, and labor for completion of installation of an electric lighting System in Local street • Improvement District No. 10, in accordance with the plane and specifications and the furnishing of all materials and labor for the complete installation for the sum of 423,561.51 be accepted, and that the contract for the same be awarded to said Clarence V7. Silver Co., and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized and directed i li II r I I i i
