This ua ^,.ter was thoroughly discussed by the .Mayor and Council. M. on the 13th day of October 1952, for the transaction of all business connection with the follorrng object: The second reading of Bill 26 and Bill 27. Upon Poll the following Councilmen answered present: Fr-:n Blomgvist, L. E. Burrell, Erred 71eick and Dale Enrich. Absent: John Myers and J. V. Bettis. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the abo�c motion , ith the following result: Those voting in the affirmative v.-re: 717emgr:ist. Burrell, Teick and Fenrich. Negative: None. Absent and not, voting: Ayers and Bettis. The Mayor deri.ared the motion had passed by the necessary three - fourths majority and directed the Clerk to read Bill No 26, the second time by title and the third time in full section by section. The Clerk read th= Gill as directed. The question being "Shall - Bill No 26 pass ?" The Mayer directed the Clerk tkgx6$exk to call. the roll on the above question which resulted as follows: Those voting in the affirmative were: Blomeuist. Burrell, Weick and Fenrich. Negative: None. Absent and not voting: dyers and Bettis. Thereupon the P•raycr declared Bill No 26, had passed and the Mayor in open session of the Council duly signed and approved the Bill and the Clerk duly signed and attested the same which became Ordinance No 801. The Mayor directed the Clerk to make proper entry of the same and to cause Ordinance No $01, to be, published in the Caldwell News- Tribune the official newspaper of the City= of Caldwell, Idaho. This being the time set for the second reading of Bill No 27. It was moved by Councilman Weick, seconded by Councilman Burrell that the rules requiring that the reading of a Bill on three separate days he suspended and that Bill No 27, be read the second time by title and the third time in full, section by section and placed on its final passage. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the above motion with the following result: Those voting in the affirmative were: Blomouist, Burrell, Weick and Fenrich. Negative: None. Absent a nd not voting: Myers and Bettis. The Mayor declared the motion had passed by the necessary three - fourths majority and directed the Clerk to read Bill No 27, the second time by title and the third time in full section by section. The Clerk read the Bill as directed. The question being "Shall Bill No 27 pass?" The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the above question which re- sulted as follows; Those voting in the affirmative were: Blomqui.st, Burrell, Weick and Fenrich. Negative: None. Absent and not voting: Myers and Bettis. Thereupon the Mayor declared Bill No 27, had passed and the Mayor in open session of the Council duly signed and a pproved the Bill and the C lerk duly signed and attested the same which became Ordinance No 802. The Mayor directed the Clerk to make proper entry of the same and to cause Ordinance No 802, to be, published in the Caldwell News - Tribune the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, Idaho. Wayne E. Davis and Martin Warberg representing the Kiwanis Club informed the Mayor and 'ouncil the Club would furnish labor and some funds toward preparation of the North Side Fark for the coming summer atheletic program. Councilman Burrell discussed plans with Mr. Davis and Mr.,Warberg and the Mayor extended thanks to the Kiwanis Club for their volunteer services. The Mayor discussed with the Council the leasing of land at the airport to the Chamber of Commerc for a new industrial site. It was unanimously agreed by the Council that the Committee appointed April 30, 1950, consisting of Councilmen dyers, Blomquist and Bettie meet with the Chamber of Commerce New Industries Committee and work out an agreement with them, but, if there is an appreciable amount of rent obtained from leasing to new businesses the City and the Chamber of Commerce should share and share alike.
