Jackson and City Attorney Was appointed as a oommittes to investigate the matte
of Jity Pound whioh is now being opperated by dlaud Luallon at the Yeahlon Livery Stable.
Mr. Luellen reported that he Was unable to look after the Pound business under the present
plan.
It was voted Un motion of HCbonnel, seconded by Mumford, that the dity pay the
delinquent State and dodnty Taxes on block No. 6, New Hone Ad dition, which is now owned
by the City.
The dity Clerk was instructed to cause notice to be published that the Irrigat
Water would be turned out of the ditohee on Octoher.10, 1927.
It was voted on motion.of Hoffman, seconded by.Ho@onnel, that bouncil adjourn
to October 10, 1927, at 8:00 P. M.
APPROVED:
The Mayor appointed Mumford, City Treasurer and dity Clerk to prepare records
for the purpose of collecting Special Improvement Oity Taxes for 1927.
It was voted on motion of.Mogoxm el, seconded by Mumford, that the dity Attorney
be instructed to,oloae the deal whereby the Oity buying one and ane- quarter (1 +) acres
more or less, situated between Albany and Belmont Streets and the Pennington property,
to be used as a gravel pit.

A letter from the Forward Club asking for the approval of a Board.of dontrole
which had been designated by said Forward Club. The matter was defered for investigat
A letter from Annabel M., Hunt, proprietor of The Palm, protesting against the
collection of garbage by the Garbage Contractor was road and plaged on file.
The Mayor announced that this was the time for consideration of objections to
Assessment Roll of Local Sprinkling Distriot No. 1. The Qlerk presented to the dounail
the Affidavit of Publication of Notice of filing Assessment Roll of Local Sprinkling
District No. 1, which Affidavit was cad is in words and figures as follows, to -wit:

The matter of the 41ty carrying Public Liability Insurance on its equipment
came to the attention of the 0ounoll. It was voted on motion of M000mjel. seconded
by Davis, that the matter be referred to the Finance 00mmittes for investigation.
Reports for the month of September 1927, of the City Olerk,Fire jhief, Tourist
Park, Sexton and Gasoline by Fire dhisf, was read and ordered filed.
It was voted on motion of Mod seconded by Hoffman, that the office of
Traffic Policemen be disoontinued as a matter of economy.
It was voted on motion of Batton, seconded by Hoffman, that that the Surety
Bond of R. E. Wagner in the sum of $1000.00 be approved and placed on file.
It was voted on motion of Davis, seconded by McOonnel, that 0ounoil ♦djouned
to October 17, 1987.

Councilman present; DUTTON, HOPTAAN, MCCONNEL AND MUMFORD. ABSENT; DAVIS AND JACKSON.
The Clerk was instructed to write to Boise and Twin Palle for information
regarding Automatic Traffic Signals.
It was voted on motion of an, seconded by Mumford, that the City buy
uniforms for two policemen.
The itreet Committee was instruoted to have the College of Idaho to haul sand
to be put on Indiana and Ash Streets at Twenty -five (26) cents per load.
Fred Roes was instructed to secure a one yard bucket and hoiat to be used for
the rook crusher:
RESOLUTION 10. 4.
WHEREAS, It appears from that certain judgement docketed in
the office of the ex- officio clerk and recorder of Canyon County, Idaho,
on September 20th, 1911, that the City of Caldwell obtained a judgement
against on J. A. 34ment for coats in the sum of $26.26; and
WHEREAS, Said judgement has become outlawed and is no longer in
force and effect, but appears as a aloud on th8 title to certain real estate
situated in the County of Canyon and State of Idaho, described as
The Southwest Quarter (WSJ) of the South.
West Quarter Mrj), Section one (1), Township these
(3) North, Range three (3) West of the Boise Meridi4n;
which said property is now the property of one E. J. Look; and
WHEREAS, Said judgement is of no value to the City of Caldwell, Idaho
and it is proper that the same should be released in order to remove the
