COUNCIL CHEERS, OCTOBER 7, 1935.
8:00 P. M.
The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City council met in the Council Room of the
City Hall, with the Emery I.. Vassar, presiding.
On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: Edgar L. Oakes, F. D.
Mumford,,W.S.Boynton and W.R. Hollingsworth. Absent: G. M. Fenrieh and G.W. Montgomery.
The Minutes for September 3rd., and 16th., were read and approved as read.
G. M. Fenrieh entered and was marked present:
Mr. T. N. Nichols appeared before the Council and stated that he would like to
sell the City Lots 15 and 16 Block 136 Strahorn Addition.,Shuee's Re- Subdivision No, 27.
J. N. Rhodes appeared and asked permission to build a house on Block 61, Lots
17 -18 and 19, Original. This matter was referred to the the Building Inspector.
C.E. McDannels appeared and applied for a building pe to build a house on
Block 13, Lots 1 -2 -and 3, Goldsn Gate.
Moved by Oakes, seconded by Boynton that this permit be granted. Motion carried
Mr. Martin Olsen appeared and asked permission to bring his cow into the city.
The matter was taken under advisement.
Mr. W.S. Maxey, Sanitary Inspector, report =d to the Council that there were some
diseased cows within the City limits, he also stated that he had taken this up with the
State Inpsector and that the State would allow $25.00 for each cow.
Applications for Pool Hall Licensee were read from Franklin & Huston,.P. A. ,
Martin, I. H. Waters, S. F. Bow and Pastime Lunch, the fee accompanying each application.
Moved by Oakes, seconded by Hollingsworth that these applications be allowed.
Motion carried.
$even Affidavits of Publication were read by the City Clerk.
The Bills for September were read and on motion made by Boynton, seconded by
Mumford, that these bills be allowed and Warrants be ordered drawn for the various amounts
all.of which had been approved by the Chairman of the Finance Committee. Motion carried.

A Resolution was read by the City Clerk asking for the cancellation of taxes on
Lots 21- ?.2 -23 and 24, Block 8 Dorman's Addition.
This Resolution was taken under advisement.untll the next regular meeting.
N. Naylor appeared before the Council and asked permission to build a house on
The matter was laid on the table for future consideration.
There being no further business to come before the Council, it was, on motion
by Boynton, seconded by Oakes declared adjourned. Motion carried.

8:00 P. M.
The City Council met on call of the Mayor, with the Mayor,Xmery L. Vassar, pre-
siding.
On Roll Call, the following Councilmen answered present: Edgar L. Oakes, F. D.
Mumford, W.S.Bgynton, G. M. Fenrich and G. W. Montgomery. Absent: W. R.'Hollingsworth.
. The Mayor stated tho'c the object of the meeting was to conaider bids for the
purchase of a pump by the Dater Department.
The following bide were filed with the City Clerk and opened in the Council
meeting pursuant to a call for bids for a turbine type pump to deliver 450 gallons per
minute. .
W.G.Oowden filed bid for the following:

Caldwell Plumbing & Heating Co., filed bids for the following:
Byron Jackson
Pamona
Peerless.
Intermountain Equipment Co., filed bid for the following:

Moved by Montgomery, seconded by Fenrieh that the matter be referred to the
Chairman of the Water Department, F. D. Mumford and the City Engineer, Fred H. McConnel
with power to anct and to accept and reject such bids as to them seems proper.

ing of the Council.

companying the application.
Moved by Montgomery, seconded by Hollingsworth that this application. be grantedL
