COUNCIL OILUIBERS CITY OF CALDWMT IDAHO. OCT.6th, 1919.
Council met in regular session with H H Hayman President of the
Council acting Mayor.
The following Councilmen were present;
Dickens, Dunlap, Feuling, ] :Ioore and Sutton.
Minutes of last regular and special session were read and approved.
Mr John J Plowhead appeared before the council relative to a ditch
on South Limball along the Cipson Orchard, same was referred to the Street
Committee.
I,r Rolla Frost requested a street light be palced at the intersection
of Kimball and Paynter Avenues.
On motion 2utton seconded by Dickens the L'.ayor appointed a committee
consisting of the Street Com. and ".ngi:leer to investigate with power to act.
The sub- eomtraot of the Caldwell Plumbing and Heating Cc with the
Warren Construction Cc for the Paving of the aigt of Way of tia Carl Idaho
Traction Cc between Tenth stre =t and Indiana Avenue visa presented to the Oo mcil.
and on motion Dunlap seconded by Feuling same was ratified by the council.
The sub contract of J I: Forbes for the construction of Curbing in the
paving District was presented and on motion - puling seconded by 1xinlap same
was also ratified.
The bond of C H Leighty was rresented and on motion of Sutton seconded
by Feuling bond was accepted.
On motion of Dunlap seconded by 2ouling the city clerk was authorized
to deposit the Certified checks of the John E Price Co for '10,000.00 and
C 1.1ollear and Cc for : to the credit of the city for the construction
of the Paving and ;later ',7orks Extension.
The following Bills against the city were presented and on motion
of Dickens seconded by ;Soore same were alloned and the Clerk instructed to
issue warants on the respective funds for the same.

On motion Dunlap seconded by Poulin6 the salary of Thos R Cochrane
assistant Fire Chief was raised to 75,00 per mouth.
On motion of Feuling seconded by Dicke the matter of the purchase of
new Hose for the Fire Department was referred to the Fire Com with,:power to act; -
On motion Dunlap seconded by 2utton the City Engineer was instructed
to have the ieolamation Service place road on Canyon Hill in repair at once.
The,Chairman of the Finance Committee was inntructed to investigat the
amount of Insurance carried on Tithe City Hall and to increase same if it was
found to be insu"ficient.

Ordinance By Hauling read the first time.
A petition from the Firemen was read requesting raise in salary and that
a Toilet be pUced in the Fire Hall and that the rooms be retinted and on motion
of Sutto seconded by Fouling it was ordered that Toipe be installed and that the
sleeping rooms be retinted. The matter of increase in salaries was referred to
Finance and Fire Committee.
There being na further business on :,lotion Dickens seconded by Iloore
Council adjourned.

to call of the ilayor, in the absence of the ]layor :i 3 Hayrlan president of
the Council acted as I:ayor and the following councilmen were present;

C Clyckoff, 2150.00
It appearing that the bid of C Y .jokoff was the best bid, on motion
Dunlap Seconded by Dickens same was &adapted and City Attorney instructed
to have necessary papers made out for sale of same.
On roll being called the vote was es follows;
