Upon Motion by Fenrich, seconded by tigers, the follov:'ino Resolution was proposed:
41HCU.AS, The 80th Congress of the United States passed Public Larr No. 796, which lava provides
for the transi - er of o:•mership of certain Federal Housing Proiects from the bederal Government to private p
persons and corporations, and
'.717-HTA°, The Cleve3and Heights ?railer Project, Project No. F.A(VN- 10124)mph -1, is a Federal
Housing Proiect coming within the provisions of said Pudic Lae 79(, and
VnREAS, The Collage of Idaho desires to secure ownership of said Project No. HA(VN- 10124)mph -1 in
accordance with Public Law 796 above, and
WHP.RRAS, As a prerequisite for such a transfer from the rederal Government to private persons and

corporations it is necessary to obtain � waiver from the municipal corporation in v:hioh said housing pro-
ject is located of the removal requirements of Section 313 of Public Larr 8119 of the 7, th Congress as ac.iendedi
under which authority said hoising project was eroded.

the Acting !'.layor, Leo J. V.ason presiding.
On Roll Call the following Councilmen ans:.ered present: Leo .1. mason, 77m 0laisyer, L. E. Burrell,
Jahn l+lyers, Dale Fenrich and Bryan Harding.
Jack Farley I Don !.cKenna were present and requested permission to operate z. merry -go -round at
Yemorial Park.
After discussing this matter the '.avor a ppointed Councilman Burrell, Harding and fryers as a
Courittee to investigate and report back to the Council.

la five year contract for passenger bus service.
It Has moved by Claisyer, sec nded by Burrell that the City Attorney be instructed to draw a five

year contract between the City of Caldwell and Lew Ryeraft for passenger bus service in accordance with
the recommendations of the Committee.
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
Application for Solieitorts License was read from Mrs. Henry Shaffer, the fee accompanying the
application.

Application for Slot Machine Licenses was read from Herbert Alexander, the fee accompanying the
application.
Moved by Burrell, seconded by Dyers that these Licenses be granted, provided, no Minor Signal',
be posted.
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
Applications for Card Room Licenses were read from 71aldorf Cigar Store, Rummy House and The Sport
Shop Inc., the fee accompanying each application.

Application for Pool Room License was read from Waldorf Cigar Store, the fee accompanying the
application.

The Chief of Police informed the Acting Mayor and Council that Milliner Transfer & Storage Co.,
had requested a curb cut at 9th and Albany Street.
Moved by Glaisyer, seconded by Burrell that curb cut be allowed with the stipulation that curb be l

The Chief of Police recommended to the Acting Mayor and Council that the first three meter spaces
east of Kimball Avenue on the North -side of Arthur Street be created into a loading zone.

full section by section and placed on the final passage. The Acting Mayor directed the Clerk to call the

call the roll on the above question which resulted as follows. Those voting in the affirmative waxes
Mason, Glaisyer, Burrell, Myers, Fenrich and Harding. Negatives None. Absent and not voting. None.
Thereupon the Acting Mayor declared Bill No 3, had passed and the Acting Mayor in open session of
the Council duly signed and approved the Bill and the Clerk duly signed and attested the same which became
Ordinance No 733, The Acting Mayor directed the Clerk to make proper entry of the same and to cause Ord -
inanos No 733, to be, published in the Caldwell News - Tribune the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell,

The Acting Mayor informed the Council petitions had been filed both for and against retaining Robert
0. Flood as Chief of Police.
The petitions were examined by the Council
Thereupon it was moved by Glaisyer, seconded by Myers that Robert 0. Flood be retained as Chief of
Police and a vote of confidence given.
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried
The Bills for September were read and on motion by Glaisyer, seconded by Myers that these Bills
be allowed and Warrants ordered drawn for the various amounts all of which had bean approved by the Finance

Upon motion by Myers, seconded by Harding, the following Resolution was proposede
wHEREA5, the City of Caldwell, has accepted the plat of Parkside Addition to said City; and
: 14HEREAS, there is 4eing constructed in connection with said earkside Addition an underground irriga� ion
system witn an independent water supply consisting of well and punp; and
l'!13EREAS, the otmers of the land comprising said Parkside addition desire to have the City of
Caldwell, take over, operae and maintain said irrigation system,

transfer the title to the land upon which the well is drilled and the pump is set, the City of Caldwell agree
to take over, operate and maintain said system in its mature operation. �
