The Regular Monthly meeting of the City Council met in the Council Roome. with the Mayor, Fred L. Lilly,, presiding . On Roll Call, the following Councilmen answered present, M. S. Sandmeyer,, A. G. $eister, Joe Dickens and E. L. Vassar. Absent 0. E. Bales and 0. M. Johnston.. The Clerk read the Minutes of September 6th. and September 13th. , which were approved a Bread. Rev. Chas. Moore appeared and asked for permission to use a room in the City Hall for religious services. After considering the matter, the Council thought beet to not let out any of the rooms for regular meetings for any length of time. A letter was read from the First Security Co, of Salt Lake City, Utah, also a copy of a letter from the Law Firm of Pershing, Nye, Boswiok and Dick of Denver, Colorado, saying that on account'df the condition of the Bond Market at the present time that it would not be poesible to put over our proposed refunding program. Applicatiogfor renewals of Pool Hall Licensee wane read from Georke Franklin, S. F. Bow,I. H. Waters and P. A. Martin. Moved by Samdmeyer and seconded by 8eister that these applications be granted. Motion Carried. The Bills for September were read and on motion made by Sandmeyer and.seconded by Vassar that these Bills be allowed and Warrants be ordered drawn for the various amounts all of which had been approved by the Chairman of the Finance committee. Lilly, On Roll Call, the following Councilmen answered present: M. S. Sandmeyar, A. 0. Keister, C. E. Bales; C. M. Johnston,&Joe Dickens. Absent, E. L. Vassar. The Mayor stated that the object of the meeting was to consider the adviseabillt Of replacing the old wooden water pipes with cast iron pipe. Bide were opened and read from the following Companies: The Colorado Fuel and Iron Products Co. of Salt Lake City, Utah. The National Cast Iron Pipe Co. of Birmingtam, Alabama. The Waterworke Equipment do. of Salt Lake City, Utah. The Waterworks Equipment Oo bid was much the smaller bid, and was the - unanimous selection of the Council. Moved by Dickens and seconded by Johnston that the Water Works Committee, assist, by the pity Engineer and Mayor be instructed to go ahead and order all necessary supplies and proceed to make arrangements to put in all necessary water mains. On roll Call, the following Councilmen voted in favor of the above motions M. S. Sandmeyer, A. G. Keister, 0. E. Bales, C. M. Johnston and Joe Dickens. Those opposed, None, I I I I Absent and not voting, E. L. Vassar. The Mayor thsn declared the above motion carried .
