COUNCIL CHAMBER58 U1 El 0 't -I C The Council met in regular session with Mayor Killer, presiding,i Connoilmen, Bollma Himbrough,:Mnmfcrd, Rowland,' and Westoott,present and Councilman Oaken absent. The minute8 of the preceding meetings were read and approved with the exception of the part wherein C.H.Helmer was permitted to withdraw his oheok at his own request. It was voted on motion of Kimbrough that we defer action on Petition for withdraw ing from the Otty,until the Aounoil as a body, could look over the ground. Also the same members wars directed to ast in the same capacity for opening Sixth St. aorose the B.S.L.R.B. Co.Traoks. It was voted on motion of Kimbrough that a light be placed on the corner of I6th and Everett, as reoommended Westoott. ,Waatoott reported that acoording to Section I882 Of the Coppiled Statutes that the City had no money coming from the License-money of Automohiles,!owned within U6 It was voted on motion of,Westoott that Committee of three be appointed to deter mine the sidewalks and crosswalks, that need to be put in: The Mayor appointed Waatoott, Rowland, and Bollman. It was voted on motion of Rowland that we take up the delinquent taxes on Lots 13 and I4 Block 21 shuees Addition to Caldwell and thata Committee of three be appointed to look after the Citizens interests in the other land Joining the park. The ayor ,appoint at Cakes, Kimbrough, and Mumford. It was voted on motion of Westoott that Weed Cutting and Sprinkling Rolls be apprQVQAj The following Resolution by Rowland, was presented - Whereas, a large miter of sign or bill boards Piave been constructed on both sides of Kimball Avenue, at the paint where said Avenue loins with I'synter Avenue end Whereas, said sign boards are so constructed as to obstruct the view for a long distance in either direction on Kimball Avenue, and therebp create a dangerous oondit ion for traffic on said Avenue,? Now#Bierefore, be it resolved, that all bill boards or sign boards located on either side of Kimball AVenaa at the poiht where' Kimball Ave. ,oinewith Paynter Ave. d are a menace to public traffic on Kimball Ave. and constitutes a auisanos, and that the Street Commissioner be, and he is hereby authorised and directed to cause said bill boards to be 4dkan down and removed from their present places and to prevent the treotion of W sign or bill boards at said point.It was voted on motion that Resol ration as read be adopted.
