HomeMy WebLinkAbout1923-10-01city council minutes'J 7i s e COUPICIL CHAMBERS, OCT.IST,1923. • The Council met in regadar session with Mayor Sme absent, Pres ident of the Council, lainford, presiding, and Councilmen, Reuling, Harmon, Kimbrough, 3obb, and Wheeler, present. The Minutes of the September see ions were read and on motion of Kimbrough, second- ed by Hammon, the came were approved. The Council directed Ohief -of- Police Howard, to determine the cost of placing a Red Light on the Corner of Arthur & Kimball,in oircuit with the doe at the Saratoga Hotel. BILL M. 8 BY WHEELER,ENTITLED " AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND DISCONTIN DING BERTAIN PORTIONS OF A CERTAIN UN -NAMED ST_'?EET IN THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, ", was read for the first time,as was BILL NO.9, BY ROBB, ENTITLED" AN! ORDINANCE - 38TABLISHING LI29ITS WITHIN WH11CH COM ERCIAL AND PUBLIC GARAGES,OIL AND GAS STATIONS -ND SERVICE STATIONS SHALL BE ERECTED AND OPERATED WITHIN THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHOV A motion was made by Kimbrough, seconded by Robb, that the rules requiring the - reading of a bill on three separated days be suppended and the bill be read the second time by title and the third time in full and placed on its final passage. The roll being called by the President of the Council, the fohlowing was the result: AYES: FEULITIG, HARI,ION, KILIBROUGH, MU.TFORD, ROBB, AND WHELSER. IdA7[3S AND ABSENT: NONE. So the ,?"sidentia of the Council decUmed the motion had Carr - $ad and caused the Clerk to read the two bills the second time by title and the third time in full On the question , as put by the President of the Counoil,shall Bills No. S& 9 pass® the roll being called on the came, the result was as follows: -AYES: FEULING, HARLION, KIMBBOUGH, MUMK RD, ROBB, & WHEELER. .NAYES AND ABSENT: NONE. So the President of the Council declared the Bills had padeed and now became Ordinances #388 and 389. The Clerk was directed to make proper entity of the same and cause the same to be publsihed in the Caldwell Tribune, the official Newspaper of Caldwell,Idaho on the 5th of Oct. 1923. It was voted on motion of Kimbrough, seconded by Wheeler, that the bills as 1ppproved be allowed and warranth ordered drawn on the various funds as follows: GENERAL FUED N0.
