burning crude or fuel petroleum for fuel purposes in the plant located on the following
described premises in Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho, to -wit:
A treat of land described as follows to- wit: Beginning at a point on the
section line 529.6 feet West of section corner common to sections 22
26,27,Twp. 4 ffi.R.3 W.B.M., which is a point where the sold section line
intersects the southerly side line of Chicago Street in Caldwell Canyon
County, Idaho, and running thence North 46 33+ Went along the asId Southerly
line of Chicago Street, a distance of 543.0 feet to the Northwesterly corner
of Block 65 of Foote +s Addition to Caldwell, Idaho; thenog South 43 0 27+ Went
Along the Eeaterly side of 15th Avenue, a distance of 527 feet to a point
on the section linetbetween Sections 22 and 27; thence West on-the section
line a distance of 449.1atet to the Northerly right of way line of the
Oregon ShortLine Railroad Comiany; thence South 46 East and following
the Northerly line of said right, of way a distance of 1065.Orf ®et; thence
N.43o East a distance of 837 feet; thence North 46 West a distance
of 197.0 ft. to the point of beginning, containing in all 15.44 aopea „more
or leas, excepting therefrom Lots 22, 23, and 24 of Block 66 of Boot's
Addition to Caldwell, Idaho,
all subject to and in accordance with the standards and specifications of the National
Board of Fire Underwriters and the National Fire Protection Association and in accord -
anon with the instructions and requirements of the Chief of the Fire Department and the
Building Inspector of the City of Caldwell, Idaho.

adopted. The motion was unanimously carried and said Resolution adopted.
Thereupon Councilman Sloop introduced Bill No. 2, entitled -
AN ORDINA NCE PROVIDING FOR THE ASSESSMENT AND LEVY OF A TAX FOR GENERAL REVENUE
PURPOSES AND PAYING THE CURRENT E xMSES OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, CANYON COUNTY, IDAHO,
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING THE FIRST DAY OF MAY, 1944.
Be it ordained by the mayor and council of the 91ty of Veldwell, eanyon, Idaho:
which was read for the first time and the Council proceeded to a consideration of Bill
No Two. It was moved by Sloop, seconded by Olesen that the rules requiring that the
reading of a Bill on three a operate days be suspended and that 8111 No Two, b e read the
second the by title and the third time is full, section by section and placed on its final
passage. The Mayor directed the Clerk torall the roll on thegabove motion with the follow-
ing result: Those voting in affirmative were: Sloop, Clasen, Newman, McNeill, Thornock
and ?rasher. Negative: None. Absent and not voting: None. The Mayor declared the
motion had passed by the necessary three - fourths majority end.d3reoted the Clerk to read
Bill No, Two, the second time by title and the third time in full section by section. The
Clerkxead the Bill as directed. The questionbeing "Shall Bill no. Two pass? The Mayor
directed the Clerk to call the roll on the a bove question which resulted as follows: Those
voting in the affirmative were: Sloop,Olesen, Newman, McNeill, Thom ock and Fresher.
Negative: None. Absent and hot voting: None.
Thereupon the Mayor declared Bill No. Two had passed and the Mayor in open
session of the Council duly signed and abproved the Bill, and the Clerk duly signed and
attested the same which become Ordinance No 634. The Mayor directed the Clerk to make
proper entry of the same and tocause Ordinance No 634 to be published in the Caldwell Neva
Tribune the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, Idaho.
There being no further business to comebefore the Council it was moved by Fresher
seconded by Thornock the Council adjourn. Motion carried.

On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: J..Rendell Sloop, Pete
Oleser, F, E, Newman, R. H. McNeill, 0. L. Thornock and E. E. Fresher.
The Mayor informed.the Council the mest'ng was called to discuss airport situation
and discussing the terms end d stails of contract.
An informal discussion was had but ho definite action was-taken,

On Roll Call the following Co mcilmen answered present! Pete Clasen, R. H. Me-
Neill, -0. L. Thornock, and E. R. Fresher. Absent: Mayor Thurlow Bryant and Councilmen
J. Randall Sloop and F. E. Newman.
The Minutes of September 5th and 27th were read and approved earned.
Notice of Publication of Ordinance No 634 was read by the Clerk.
Application for Pool Ball License was read from I. H. Beaters, the fee aecompsny-
ing the application.
Application for Card License was readfrom the Rummy House . the fee accompanying
the application.

Moved by McNeill, seconded by Olesen that these licensee be granted. .Motion
The Bills for September were read and on motion by Clasen, seconded by McNeill
that these Bills be allowed and Warrants be ordered drawn for the various amounts all of
which had been approved by the Chairman of the Finance Committee. Motion carried.
