Sept, 26, 1910. Council met•in regular session pursuant to- adjournment with
Mayor Gowen presiding, and Councilmen Clark, Revere, Farrar, Harris, Paynter, present,
Shorb, Clerk.
Bill No. 72,by the Finance Committee, entitled, "An Ordinance firm g the
amount of the annual appropriation and the .rate of levy to pay the same for the fiscal
year beginning the first Tuesday in May, 1910, and levying the tax for said year ",
was read the first time.
A motion was made by Clark that the rules be auspended and the readings on
three separate dayd be dispensed with and that Bill No, 72 be read the second time by
title and the third time in full and placed on its final passage. The roll being
called on the motion, the vote resulted:
Clark,
Ayes- LDevers, Farrar, Harris, Paynter - -5.
Nays - -0. Absent -- Gartin. So the motion prevailed.
Bill No. 72 read second time by title.
Bill Nb.72 read third time in full and placed on its final passage. On
the question, Shall Bill No. 72 pass? the roll being called, the vote resulted:
Ayes -- Clark, Devers, Farrar, Harris, Paynter - -5.

Nays - -0. Absent-- Gartin. So Bill No. 72 passed, becoming Ordinance No. 186,
Petition of Mrs. A. A Faris, at al, praying that street lights be placed at
the corner of Seventh Avenue and Dearborn Street, Seventh Avenue and Fillmore Street,
Sixth Avenue and Everett Street, Fifth Avenue and Fillmore Street, lights to be the

same power as other street lights" was read, and, on motion of Clark, referred to the

Third Ward Councilmen.

Voted, on motion of Farrar ghat the sanitary officer or a police officer be
dropped from the Police force after October 1.
Voted, on motion of Clark, that the Street Committee be empowered to employ
F. L. Keller to clean the streets at the price paid him at presebt to sprinkle the
streets.
Voted, on motion of Harris that Council adjourn until Tuesday evening,
September 27, 191C, at S o'clock.
