Be it resolved by the 1yayor and council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho. That the City Clark of said ity be and hereby is empowered, authorized and instructed to place on file in the office of the Recorder of Canyon Jounty, Idaho, those certain Cemetery maps, showing the plat of t!e blocks and lots of Janyon Hill Cemetery. Said maps baing filed and presented to the City Council of said City on the twenty- first day of September, 1911, and on the fourth day of September, 1917, respectively and each containing a I declaration of dedication to the public use for -ever of all the Streets and Avenues shown on said mpps. It was voted upon motion of Uouncilman Mitchell, seconded Councilman Fritz R. Miller, that the resolution be adopted. Adjornment. No further business appearing before the meeting It was voted on motion of Councilman Fritz R. Miller, that Council adjorn until Monday evening September 24th., 1917, at 8 o'clock P. 11. Flowhead presiding, present, Councilmen Dickens, Amos J. Uiller, Fritz R. Culler, Latchell and Sanberg, City Clerk S. Ben Dunlap, when the following business was transacted; First reading Fire Ordinance. Bill No. 9, by the Fire Committee, entitled, "An Ordinance providing for Fire Limits, and thc'construetion and equipment of buildingd in the City of Caldwell. Idaho", was read the first time. Passage of Levy Jrdinanae, ISo. 265. till No. 6, by the Finance Committee, entitled, An Ordinance providing for the levy of a tax assessment for the purpose of paying the current expenses of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, for the fiscal year beginning on the First Tuesday in May, 1917, as heretofore appropriated ", was read the second time. A motion was made by Councilman Fritz R. Miller, and duly seconded, that the rules be suspended and the reading on three separated days be dispensed with and that Bill No. 6 be read the third time in full and placed on its final passage, The question being called on the motion, the vote resulted: C� Ayes- Dickens, Amos J. Miller, Fritz Miller, Mitchell and Sanberg -5. Hayes -None. Absent -yard -1. The Mayor declared the motion carried. Bill Jo. 6 read the third time in full and placed on its final passage. On the question shall Bill No. 6 pass? The roll being called the vote resulted: Ayes - Dickens, Amos J. Culler, Fritz R. Miller, Mitchell and Sanberg -5. I 201. Nayea -None. Absent -ward -1. So Bill No. 6 passed becoming Ordinance No. 285. Passage of Bill No. 7 (Ordinance Ido. 286)- Repealing photographers Ordinance. Bill No. 7, by Councilman Sanberg, entitled, "An Ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 235, approved September 16th., 1913, entitled, 'An Ordinance requiring that all photographers who have no established place of business in the City, all photographers whose location here shall be temporary and those who make a business of soliciting work, within the City shall pay a license ", was read the second time. A motion was made by Councilman Mitchell, seconded Councilman Sanberg, that the rules be suspended and the reading on three separate days be dispensed with and that Bill No. 7 be read the third time in Pull and placed on its final passage. The roll being called on the motion, the vote resulted: Ayes - Dickens, Amos J. Miller, Fritz R. Miller, Mitchell and Sanberg -5. gayes -None. Absent -Ward -1. The Mayor declared the motion carried. Tliller, Mitchell and Sanberg -5. Hayes -None. Absent - Ward -1. So Bill No. 7 passed becoming Ordinance No. 266. Passage of Bill Ido. 8 (Ordinance Ido. 287) - Confetti Ordinance. Bill No. 6, by Councilman Amos J. Miller, entitled, "An Ordinance prohibiting the throwing of confetti on the public streets or in public gatherings within the City of Caldwell and prescribing penalty for the violation of this ordinance ", was read the second time. A motion was made by Councilman Amos J. Miller, seconded Councilman Fritz H. Miller, that the rules be suspended and the reading on three separate days be dispensed with and that Bill Ido. 8 be read the third time in full and placed on its final passage. The roll being called on the motion the vote resulted: Ayes- Dickens, Amos J. Miller, Fritz ii. Miller, titchell and Sanberg -5. Hayes -None. Absent- ward -1. The Mayor declared the motion carried. Bill No. 8 read the third time in full and placed on its final passage. On the question, shall Bill No. 8 pass? The roll being called, the vote resulted: Ayes - Dickens, Amos J. Miller. Fritz R. Miller, Mitchell and Sanberg -5. Nayes -None. Absent - Ward -1. So Bill No. 8 passed becoming Ordinance No. 2890. Recommendation for sidewalks and crosswalks. Councilman Fritz i3. (Tiller recommended that a sidewalk be ordered in on the South aide of Everett Street between 10th and 11th Avenues and that concrete crosswalks be laid at Everett Street and Tenth and Twelfth Avenues.
