Or. Council Chamber, City of Caldwell, Idaho, October 2, 1916. F- C,puncil meet in regular session with Mayor Fred C. Boyes, presiding, Council- men present, Ackley, Dement, Hayman, Sanberg, S. Ben Dunlap, Clerk, when the following business was transacted: Xr. W. Grant Ward, having filed his oath of office, took his seat as Counoilman from the Third Ward to fill out the unexpired term of Fred N. Harrington. The minutes of the sessions held September 4th., 6th., 11th., 18th., 19th. Ind 20th., respectively, were read and upon motion of Hayman were approved, Mr. Bleseenger appeared and filed a claim in the sum of $21.95 as damages for accident, claimed to be due to defective street crossing at the corner of Seventh Avenue and Cleveland Boulevard. Mr. Blessenger stated that on the evening of September 19th., 1916, he attempted to- cross Cleveland Boulevard at Seventh Avenue and that owing to the Street being muddy, by reason of practice of Fire Department, and the shortness of the culvert at this plane, his machine was forced into the ditch. He asked to be re- imbursed for money expended for Doctor bills for his wife and repairs to the machine. The matter was referred to the City Attorney and Finance Committee for stigaticn and report. The following bills which had been 0. %'d by the Finance Committee were read, land it was voted upon motion of Ackley that the same be allowed and warrants be ordered drawn on the various funds in payment of the same as follows:
