Bill No. 9, by Jackson, entitled "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ASSESSMENT AND LEVY OF A TAX FOR GENERAL REVENUE PURPOSNS FOR PAYING THE OUBRERT RMNSES OF THE CITY OF OALDWELL, IDAHO, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINRING THE FIRST TUESDAY OF MAY, 1927 was read the first time in full. A motion was made by Davis, seconded by :batten that the rules be suspended requiring a bill to be read on three separate days, and the Bill No. 9 be read second time by title and the third time in full and planed on its final passage. The Mayor directed the Clark to call the .roll with the following result: Ayes; DAVIS, DUTTON, HOFFMAN, JACKSON AND MCOORNEL. Noyes: NONE. ABSENT: MUMPORD. The Mayor declared the motion had passed by the necessary 314 majority and caused the dlerk to read Bill No. 9, second time by title sad the third time in fall, and the Clerk was directed to call the roll an the question as put by the Mayor, "Shall Bill No. 9 paea "4 with the following result; AYES: DAVIS, DUTTON,. HOFFMAN,JACKSON AND MCCONREL. RAPES: . NONE. ABSENT: MUMPORD. Porter reported that an estimate of $6686.00 would be required to prepare and gravel certain thoroughfares leading into the city. Bird Goodwin appeared before the acuncil, representing the residents on dpeed- way asking that that street be Graveled, and stating that the neighbors along the street were willing to donate.teame and work in order to get the improvement made. Mr.: Goodwin was asked to get the information as to dust how much work would be donated and In what way, and xeport to the Council. It was voted on motion of Hoffman, seconded by Davis, that the City Attorney be instructed to draw a Garbage dontroot between the City and R. E. Wagner to ran for three yearg. The said contractor to collect all garbage in the'®ity without charge to the dity or any of the residents, and farther that he tarnish a Surety Bond in the of 4000.00 to guarantee the fulfillment of the said contract. At this time R. E. Wagner put up a Certified Gheak in the sum of $200.00, the same- to be returned upon the eaeoution of the contract and the bond furnished and approved R. T. Hartt !reported that the Commeroial Club giving up their present headgnarte and that leave the Red Gross rest room without a 100ation. The matter of Stop Signs along Oleveland Blvd. and North on Kimball Ivence was discussed. - The Oeaton Printers presented a sample sign and pr1`ass, but the matter defered until the next meeting to get additional information.. The assessment roll for fprinkling District No. 1 was present0by the Street dommittee, and it was voted on motion of Davis, seconded by Hoffman that the same be approved, and the dlerk directed to cause notice to be published in the daldwell News the official newspaper for jgldwell, idaho. It was voted on motion of Roffmanp seconded by Davis, that the following bill be allowed and warrants be drawn on the Water Works Depreciation Fund for the various amounts to -wit= N0. Sohnabel for $13.80 for auto repairs be allowed, and a warrant ordered drawn on the General Fund for the amougt. The Mayor appoonted Hoffman and Rumford, to act as a Relief dammittee, and to have under their supervision ell oases of 41erity in the duty that would aims to their attention requiring relief. It was toted on motion of Dutton, seconded by Rumford, that the Mayor appoint a Purchasing Agent, whose duty it would be to purchase all supplies for the city. The Mayor appointed J.
