Council met in regular session pursuant to adjournment with Mayor Griffiths, presiding, and Councilmen Adam, Adams, Walker, Zeh, present; 8horb Clerk. The time coming on regularly for the opening of bide for fire has@, it was voted, on motion of Zeh, that the bids be opened, The following bids.were received and opened Fabric Fire Hose Co., Patrol waxed $1.00 per foot; Safety, waxed, 95 cents per foot; B. B., 75 cents per foot; A.A. A., 90 cents per foot, all f.o.b. Cat dwell. Idaho Implement & Grain Co.- Amazon, 72 cents per foot; Cleveland, 70 cents per foot, bot#1 f,o,b, Cleveland, Ohio, Bowers Rubber Works.- Victor, 80 cents per foot; Relicance, 70 cents pe per foot; Guardian, 55 catits per foot, all f, o. b. Caldwell. A. W. Bennett & Son.- Chieftain, 90 cents per foot; Goodrich,$1.00 per foot; ,Delta. #J.11 per foot. The Gutta Pereha & Rubber Mfg, Co., Princeton, 85 cents per foot,; Rescue, 75 cents per foot; Maltese cross, $1.25 per foot, f.o.b. Caldwell. The Nott - Joslyn Co., Dragon Jacket, 90 cents per foot. The Co., Perfected 4 -ply, 80 cents per foot; 5 -ply, $1.0o per foot. Voted, on motion of Zeh, that the bide be referred to the fire committee for consideration and report and with power to accept and reject bide. Communication from the superintendent of Water Works respsoting certain work to be done at the fair grounds. The matter was referred to the water committee. The chairman of the building committee made report on the coal storage basement and the committee was instructed to investigate farther. Voted, on motion of Walker, that Monday, October 7, 1912, be set as the day for hearing protests against the sprinkling assessments of Districts No. 1,2 and 3. Voted, on motion of Walker, that council adjourn. V City Clark.
