i 111 Hosack be accepted, and that the City enter into a contract with Allen E. Hosaok for the drilling and completion of said wells, and a bond be furnished for the faithful perfor- and manoe of the work and protection of labor /material men. BILL N0. 24, BY MUMFORD, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR TEE ASSESM&ENT AND AND LEVY OF A TAX FOR GENERAL REVENUE PURPOSES FOR PAYING THE CURRENT EXPENSES OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING THE FIRST TUESDAY OF-MAY, 1928' was read first time in full. Motion made by Jackson, seconded by Mumford, that the rules requiring a bill to be read on three separate days be suspended, and that Bill No. 24 be read second time by title, third time in full and placed on its final passage. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll with the follbwing result: AYES: DAVIS, DUTTON, HOFFMAN, JACKSON, MCCONNEL AND MMAFORD. NAYES: NONE. Thereupon the 21e70S' declared the motion carried. The Clerk reed Bill No. 24, second time by title, third time in full section by section and placed @n its final passage. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the question as put by the Mayor "Shall Bill No. 24 Pass ?" which resulted as follows: AYES: DAVIS, DU1'Y03, HOFFMAN, JACKSON, MCCONNEL AND MWORD. HAYES: NONE. Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion parried and Bill No. 24 now be- come Ordinance No. 468. The Mayor and Clerk signed and approved Ordinance No. .458 in open session of the Council. The Ulerk was directed to cause same to be published in the Caldwell News- Tribune the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell,, Idaho, and be recorded in the Book of Ordinances. Councilman Dutton was excused and retired from the meeting. BILL NO. 22, MCCONNEL, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE VACATING THAT PART OF 11TH AVENUE LYING BETWEEN DEARBORN STREET AND EVERETT STREET IN THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO ", was read second time by title. It was voted on motion of Hoffman, seconded by Jackson, that Council ad3ourn to September 14, 1928, at 8:00 o'clock P. M. APPROVED: UA arc. COUNCIL CHAMBERS, SEPT. 14, 1928, 8:00, P. M. Counoil met in regular session persuant to adjournmebt of September 10, 1928, with Mayor Dunlap presiding and Councilmen DAVIS, DUTTON, HOFFMAN, JACKSON AND MCCONNEL, PRESENT. ABSEBT: MUMFORD. The Mayor called attention to the Council that Canyon County had advertised the eels of Boise Valley Traction Company's property for delinquent taxes on September 213 1928, and it might be well for the City to consider acquiring the Bridge across the Boise River near Curtis Park. that the City It was voted on motion of MoOonnel, seconded by Davis, /buy said bridge, and that the Mayor appoint a committee to represent the City of Caldwell, Idaho, in said sale held by Canyon County. The Mayor appointed Councilmen Dutton and MoConnel as a committee Councilman Mum Ord entered the meeting and was counted present. Coming special order of business the Mayor called attention of the Council P, " -1 � - the matter of considering the bide for the construction of curbs and gutters in Local Street Improvement District No. S. .After carefull consideration of the bide by the Mayor and ©ounoil, a motion was mode by Dutton, seconded by MoConnel, that the bid of J. H. Forbes for the construct- ion of cnrbe and gutters in Local Street Improvement District No. 8, in the sum of $10,599.15 be accepted, and that a contract be entered into between the dity of Caldwell, Idaho, and J. H. Forbes for the construction and completion of same subject to the confir- mation of the proceedings creating, establishing and issuing bonds of said district by the Courts of the State of Idaho. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the motic with the following result: AYES: DAVIS, DUTTON, HOFFMAN, JACKSON, MCCONNEL AND MUMFORD. NAYEB: NONE. The Mayor declared the motion carried. BILL NO. 22, BY M00011NNL, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE VACATING THAT PART OF 11TH AVENUE LYING BETWEEN DRARBORN STREET AND EVERETT STREET IN THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO ", was read third time in fall section and placed on its final passage. On the question as put by the Mayor "Shall bill No. 22 Pass "? The Clerk was directed to call the roll with the following result: AYES: DAVIS, DUTTON, HOFFMAN, JACKSON, MCCONNEL AND MUMFORD. NAPES: NONE. The Mayor declared the motion carried, and Bill No. 22 now 'become Ordimno No. 459. The Mayor and Clerk signed and approved same, and the Clerk was directed cause same to be published in the Caldwell News - Tribune the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, and recorded in the Book of Ordinances. Reports of the City Olerk, Fire Chief, Sexton and Gasoline Record were read by the Clerk and ordered place on file. It was voted on motion of Davis, seconded by Mumford, that Council adjourn.
