The Counoil met in regular session, pursuant to ad,ournment,spdt. 13th, 1926 at 8 P. I.
with
Mayor Baloy, presiding, Councilmen, Conley, Dutton, Kimbrough, Rumford, McConnel, aid wheel

There was presented to the Mayor and Council a form of contract mith the Idaho Power
Company,
providing for a system of incandescent lighting, to continue in force ubtil Sept.14th, 192

form was read. at length and after consideration of the same, Councilman Rumford presented the
foll-
owing resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 36, by Rumford, entitled:
" A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF CALD90 L

WHERAS, there is now before the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, a f cm
of street lighting contract with Idaho Power Company, which provides for an incandescent street
lighting system in said city for a period extending up to and until September 14th, 193f; and,
WHEREAS, such form of contract has received the careful consideration of this body, sod
it
Is beleived that it is for the best interest of this municipality that such contract be eicauted
forthwith;now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho;
Seotion 1. The Mayor cad- of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, is hereby authorized and dizaoted
in
his official capacity , to execute in duplicate, the street lighting eontrapt above descril
d,
with Idaho Power Company, and the Clerk of the said City is authorized and directed to affir
the
corporate Beal of this municipality to each of said duplicares of said contract . and to att3st
the
same and to certify to such duplicates as the contract authorized by this resolution. And

said contract has been thus executed and has also been properly executed by the Idaho Pews
Company
the Clerk of said city is hereby directed to deliver one of said duplicates to the Idaho P
war
Company and to retain the other as a part of the records of his office.
The motion for the adoption of said resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Mo'onn
L, the
question being, "Shall the resolution pass?" The Mayor directed the call the roll, which vaulted

A mot on was made by Kimbrough and seconded by Mumford, that the rules requiring the reading
of a bill o2 three separate dates be suspended, and the bill read the second time by title and
the third tie in full -add placed on its final passage. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the
roll on the of -ion -with the following results;

HAYES AND, ENT: NONE. The Mayor decalred the motion had passed and caused the Clerk to read the

The sees ment roll for Sprinkling District No. 1 for the year 1926 -7 was preensted to the
Council by a Street Committeeman, Dutton, and on motion of Wheeler, seconded by Dutton, and duly
carried, the same was a proved, and the Clerk directed to cause notice of the same by publishing
the same in he Caldwell `ribune, the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell,Idaho.

RESOLUTION NO. 03 BY MCCONNEL as folbows to -wit:
^ A RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMISSION TO VENTRAL POULTRY CORPOARTION TO CONSTRUCT A LOADING
ALONG THE EASTERN END OF BLOCK 74, ORGGINAL TWONSITE OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL,IDAHO."
WHEREAS, Central Poultry Corporation has purchased Lots (10) to "welew(12) of the or
townsite ofia Caldwell, Idaho, and have made application to the City Building Inspector for
permit to erect certain buildings and make certain improvements on said premises, including
loading platform along the sift d of Lot 12, of said Block, extending over the sidewalk on S
Avenue in said City; and,
WHEREAS, said Central Poultry Corporation has made application to the City Council for t
permission to onnetrdot a loading platform over the sidewalk adjacent to the building an sal
promisee, said loading platform to be along the easterly side of Lot 12,in said Block on S
Avenue in said City, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho:
Section 1. That Central Poultry Corporations is hereby granted permission to
or construct a loading platform along the easterly side of Lot 12, Block 74, of the Origin
site of the City of Caldwell,idaho; provided , however, that said loading platform shall not
ton teat width, and that the same shall have constructed at either and thereof, steps, so t
said loading platform may be use & by the public in traveling along the sidewalk bathe west
side of ®ith Avenue.
Section 2. Nothing in this resolution shall be construed to waive any of the rig
the public in traveling upon or across said loading platform, and said loading platform e hml
at all times, be subject to the regulations of the street d-partment of said city, and shall
be constructed so as not to interfer with traffic or pedestrains along the sidealk on the
westerly aide of Sixth Avenue.
