000011 CHAMBERS, KEPT. 9TH,1928.
The Council met in rT ular session with Mayor raley, presiding, Councilmen, Conley, Dm ;t=,
Kimbrongh, Mamford, and Wheeler. present, and McConnel., absent.
The minutes of previous sessions were read and pn motion of sedonded by Kimbro Lgh, ad
oarried, the same'were approved.

Mrs. Ana Wilmot Millis and others presented a petition to haws a,iodd opened and graded Prom
20th and Pillmore on College Avenue to Linden Ave.,The same was referred to M.B.Eustace, C ty Alt —
ornee and Dutton. Street Commissioner, for investigation and reDprh to the Council at a Is or dote.
Mrs. H. R.Bnmmera and W.F.Tat= presented written peoteste against Sprinkling charge on aerteds
lots owned by them. This was referred to Dutton, Street Committeeman for investigation.
L.J.Mitchell reported to the Council that eeverat contractors had reported to hide t t the
brick building or structure on lots 11 and 12 Block 86 Original Tiwnsits o" be made safl I for
occupancy ant fof the public by placing Angle irons and others ties in the wall. It was v ted an
motion of Kimbrorigh, seconded by Wheeler, that the matter of repairing the building on Lot i ll and
12, Block 76 Original Townsite . so that it would be safe for cooupancy and for the public be left
to the City Building Inspector for his appesval.
Resolution No.7 by Dutton, entitled " A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OR AIR
OF SIDEWALKS ACCORDING TO PLAN N0. THREE,ORDI113NCE N0. 146,A8 AMENDED BY ORDISENOE N0. 189 OF
THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, ALONG AND IN FRONT OF CERTAIN ITS AND BLOCKS IN SAID CITY OF
OALDWELL ;AND PRROVIDING FOR TER PAYMENT OF SUCH CONSTRUCTION OR REPAIR CHARGES BY AN ASSESS
LEVIED AND ASSESSED AGAINST THE PROPERTY FRONTING AND ABUTTING ON SAID SID•EINALKS ", was pre ented
and on motion of.Kimbrough, ascended by Wheeler, and carried as shown by the following rol call
the some was adopted.
AYES: CONLEY, DUTTON, KIMBROUGH, MWIORD, END WHEELER.
NAYES: NONE.
ASSENT: MOCONNEL.
BILL AO.IO BY MUMFORD "ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ASSESSMENT AND LEVY OF A TAX 4
FOR GENERAL REVENUE PHRPOSES FOR PAYING THE CURRENT EKPENSES OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAB , FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING THE FIRST MONDAY OF MAY, 1926, WAS READ FOR THE FIRST TIME.
A motion was made by Kimbrough, asoonded by Conley, that the rules requiring the reading of a bill
on three separate days be suspended and the bill read the second time by title and the th d time
in fall and placed on its final passage. The roll was called on the same with the follows results
AYES,- CONLEY, DUTTON. KIMBROOGH, MUMFORD, AND LEH.
NAYES: ROUE.
ABSENT; MOCONNEL.
So the Mayor declared the motion had passed by the necessary 3/4 majority and cauded th I clerk
to read the bill the second time by title and the third time in full, section by section, ndoau.,
end the Clerk to call the roll on the following question as put by the Mayor, Shall Bill N 1.10.

AYES: CONLEY, DUTTON, KIMBROUGH, MUMFORD, AND WHEELER.
NAYES: NONE.
ARMT: MCCOMM. The Mayor declared Bill No. 10 had passed and now became Ordinance No. 417,
and oansed the Clerk to make proper entry of the same and have the same publbihed in the C ldwell �!s
Tribune, the offioild ''ewspaper of the City of Caldwell. Canyon County, Idaho.
