COUNCIL CHAMBERS. CITY OF CALDWELL. IDAHO SEP. fTH. 1111.
Council met in regular session pursuant to adjournment with Mayor
;,ard presiding. the following Councilmen were present;
Dickens. Dunlap, Fouling Hayman Moore and Sutton.
A communication from J H Forbes asking for an extension of 60 days on
hie contract for constructing the Water Works improvements was read but no action
taken at this time.
On motion of Fouling seconded by Moore the contract for the
donstruction of sewer No 6 was let to J H Forbes on bus bid.
Ordinance No 325 was read the first time
AN ORDINANCE AMENDIJG SECTIONS 4. 5. 6 and 7 of
ORDINANCE NO. 312 of the City of Caldwell, Idaho.
AN ORDINANCE CREATING AND ESTABLOSHING A LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
TO BE CALLED LOCAL STREET I PROVMIENT DISTRICT 110. 2 OF THE CITY OF CA%D7ELL. IDAHO.
Moved by Dunlap seconded by Hayman that the} rule requiring the reading
of an ordinance on three separate days be dispensed with and that Ordinance No 325.
be red the second timein, full and the third time in full and placed on its final
passage, the vote on the motion was;
Ayes, Dickens, Dunlap, Fouling, Hayman, Moore and Sutton.
Nayes and absent none.
The clerk thereupon read Ordinance No 325 the second time in full and
the third time in full amd the Mayor announced taht the Ordinance had been read the XK
second and third time in full and stood for its final passage and on the roll being
called on the motion shall Ordinance No 325 pass the vote was;
Ayes, Dickens, Dunlap, Fouling, Hayman, Moore and Sutton.
Absent and not voting none.
The Mayor announced that Ordinance No 325 had - carried by more than the
necessary three fourths and in open council signed and approved same anti the clerk
was instructed to make proper entry and record same in Ordinance Book No 3 of the
City of Caldwell, Idaho.
ORDINANCE NO .326 was read the first time
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 4, 5, 6, and 7 of ORDINANCE NO Xg 313
OF THE CITY OF CALDwELL. IDAHO ENTITLED;
AN ORDINANCE CREATING AND ESTABLISHING A LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
TO BE CALLED "LOCAL STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 3" IiT THE CITY OF CAL117ELL.
CANYON COUNTY. IDAHO;
Moved by Dunlap seconded by Hayman that the rule requiring the
reading of an Ordinance on three separate days be dispensed with and that Ordinance
No 326 be read the second time in full and the third time in full and placed on its
final passage, the vote on the motion was;
Ayes; Dickens, Dunlap, Dealing, Hayman, Moore and Sutton.
Absent and not voting none.

ORDINANCE NO.327 was read the first time.
AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE COMPENSATION OF THE OFFICERS OF THE CITY OF
CALDWML. IDAHO AND REPEALING ORDINANCE 110. 881 "ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE FIXING
THE COMPEtdSATIONOF THE OFFICERS OF THE CITY OF CADDWELL AND 'REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES CONFLICTING WITH THIS ORDINANCE"
BE IT ORDAINED BY The Mayor and Council of the city of Caldwell;
SECTION 1. That on. and after Sep, let. 1919, the following named
officers and employees of the city of Caldwell, Idaho, shall receive from said
'city the following compensations, the same to be allowed and paid at the and of
each month.
City Attorney 1 050.00 dollars per month.
City Treasurer '25.00 dollars per month.
Chief of Police $126.00 dollars per month.
Policeman Nloo.00 dollars per month.
Special Policeman $3.50 dollars per day.
Superintendent of Water ;, $125.00 dollars per momth.
Superintendent of Streets 1115.00 dollars per month.
SECTION 2. Ordinance No 281 and all Ordinances tim 8 or parts of Ordinance
that conflict with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be inforoe from and
after its passage and approval.

Moved by Hayman seconded by Dunlap that the rule requiring
the reading of an ordinance on three seperate days be dispensed with and that
Ordinance No 328 be read the second time by title and the third time in full
and placed on its final passage.

and the third time in full and the Mayor satated that the ordinance stood
for final passage, on the motion shall Ordinance No 328 pass the vote was;

The petition of the Firemen for an increase in salaries was referred th
Fire Committee and Salary CLnmtttee.
The special Tax Roll was presented to the Council by the city clerk
and om motion Dunlap seconded by Feuling same was approved and Clerk
instructed to certify same up to the County Treasurer for collection with
1919 Taxes.

be authorized to enter into contract with C 11 Leighty ddr the construction
of Sidewalk smi Approaches and Crosswalks as per their bid. also with
J H Forbes for the construction of Sawer in Local Lateral Sewew Die. No 6
