Moved by Vassar and seconded by Dickens that those Bills be allowed and Warrants
be ordered drawn for the various amounts, all of which had been approved by the
Chairman of the Finance Committee. Notion carried.
The Mayor prevented the matter of allowing the United States Government to move
the electrie light pale on the alley at the back of the new Bost offioe Building.
After due consideration, the Council decided to allow the moving of said pole.
Moved by Vassar and seoonde 4y Dickens that the Finance Committee straighten up the
the taxes on the Carnegie City Library, the City Hall end Memorial Berk in Looal Im-
provement District No. 2 and No. 4. Motion Carried.
Moved by Dickens and seconded by Bales that this City council stand adjourned on

COUNCIL OHAMHERS, SEPTEMBER 8, 1931
8:00 P. M.
An'adjourned meeting of the City Council met on call of the Mayor, with the Mayor,
'Fred L. Lilly presiding.
On Roll Cali the following Councilmen answered present: M. B. Bandmeyer, A. G.
IGeiater, C. E. Bale, C. M. Johnston, E. L. Vassar and Joe Dickens.
The principal object of the meeting was the making of the City Levy for the year
1931 and 1932. The City Attorney gave a statement of the proposed levy of Oil mills.
After `a full consideration, the City Attorney was instructed to prepare an Ordinance
making a total levy of 30 mills for the fiscal year.
C. E. Bales introduced Hill No. 2, by Bales entitled:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION L OF ORDINANCE N0. 267 OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL
IDAHO, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 363 OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, RELATING
TO THE FIRE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, AND CHANGING AND ESTABLISH&
ING SAID FIRE LIMITS.
was read for the first time, and the Council proceeded to a consideration of Bill
No. 2�
It was moved by Bales and seconded by Dickens that the rules requiring the reading''

by title and the third time in full, section by section and placed on its final passage.
The 'Mayor directed the Clerk to call the Roll on the motion, with the following result:',
Those voting in the affirmative were: Sandmeyer, Keister, Bales, Vassar, Dickens and Johns
Those voting in the negative, None; Absent and not voting, None. The Mayor, thereupon ,
declared the motion carried by the necessary three- fourth majority, and dibrecter the Clerk
to read Bill No.'2 the second time by title and the third time in full, section by sectio.
The Clerk read the Bill as directed. The question being, " Shall Bill No. 2 pass "? The
Mayor directed the Clerk to call the Roll with the following result; Those voting in the
affirmative were: 'Sandmeyer, Keister, Bales, Vassar, Dickens and Johnston. Those voting in
the megative,.None. . Lbsent and not voting, None. Thereupon, the Mayor declared that Bill
No. 2 had passed and in open session of the Council, the Mayor duly signed and approved
said Bill, and the Clerk duly signed and attested the same, which became Ordinance No. 495
Thereupon, the Mayor directed the Clerk to make proper entry of the same and to cause
Ordinance 495 to be published in the Caldwell News - Tribune, the official newspaper of the
city of Caldwell, Idaho.
Thereupon, Councilman Johnston introduced Bill No. 3, entitled:

was read for the first time, and the Council proceeded to a consideration of Bill No. 3.
It was moved by Johnston and seconded by Keister that the Rules requiring the reading
of a Bill on three separate days be suspended and that Hill No. 3 be read the second time
by title and the third time in full, section by section, and placed on its final passage.
The PJayor directed the Cleric to call the Roll on the motion with the following results:
Those voting in the affirmative were: Sandmeyer, Keister, Bales, Vassar, Dickens and Johns'
Those voting in the negative, None. ibsent and not voting, None. The Mayor then declared
the motion had passed by the necessary three- fourths majority and directed that the Clerk
read Bill No. 3 the second time by title and the third time in full, section by section.
The Clerk read the Bill as directed. The question being, " Shall Bill No. 3 pass?" The May(
directed the Clerk to call the moll with the following results. Those voting in the affir-
mative were: Sandmeyer, heister, Bales, Vassar, Dickens and Johnston. Those voting in the
negative, None. Absent and not voting, None. Thereupon, the Idayor declared Bill No. 3 had
passed and the Mayor, in open session of the Council duly signed and approved said Bill
and the Clerk duly signed and attested the same which became Ordinance No. .196. The Mayor
directed the Clerk.to make the proper entry of the some and to cause Ordinance No. 496 to
be published in the Caldwell News - Tribune, the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell.
.The following RESOLUTION by Sandmeyer was read:,
"IIMEAS, The City of Caldwell is the owner of Lot 7 in Section 16, Township 4N,
of Range 3 , B. 4a, and
'.7= 1S, Idaho Power Company in extending its distribution line to serve its custo-
mers, is desirous of obtaining right of way for said line upon and over said Lot 7;
and Clerk
NOW, MiERErCRE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor /of this City -i hereby authorized, in
I� official capacity, to execute the necessary easement to said Company for said purpose.

Motion Carried.
