CITY CLERK. APP? • MAYO COUNCIL CHAMBERS, SEPT. 13TH, 1926. The Council met in regular session, pursuant to adjournment,Sppt. 13th, 1926 at 8 P.1 with Mayor Ealey, presiding, Councilmen, Conley, Dutton, Kimbrough, Mumford, MoCOnnel, and whoo3 or, pre - sout. There was presented to the Mayor and Council a form of contract with the Idaho Power Company, providing for a system of incandescent lighting, to continue in force ubtil Sept.14th, 1924. Thi s form was read. at length and after consideration of the same, Councilman Mumford presented t a foll- owing resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 35, by Mumford, entitled: " A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF THE CITY Or CALDWEL , IDAHO TO ENTER INTO A STREET LIGHTING CONTRACT WITH IDAHO POWER COMPANY TO FURNSIH A SYSTEM m8' ELECTRIC ENERGY FOR LIGHTING THE STREETS OF SAID CITY OF CALDWELL FOR THE PERIOD ENDING SM R 1*n, 1936. WHERAS, there is now before the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, a f of street lighting contract with Idaho Power Company, which provides for an incandescent street lighting system in said city for a period extending up to and until September 14th, 193$; and, WHEREAS, such form of contract has received the careful consideration of thiw body, aid it is belsived that it is for the beat interest of this municipality that such contract be eivanted forthwith;now, therefore, Be it resolved by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho; SeatioZ 1. The Mayor a:ad- of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, is hereby authorised and diz oted in - his official capacity , to execute in duplioate. the street lighting contract above described, with Idaho'Power Company, and the Clerk of the said City is authorized and directed to affi the corporate seal of this municipality to each of said dupllcares of said contract, and to att st the same and to certify to such duplicates as the oontraat authorized by this resolution. And ghen ,. said contract has been thus executed and has also been properly executed by the Idaho Powax Company the Clerk of said city is hereby directed to deliver one of said duplicates to the Idaho Power Company and to retain the other as a part of the records of his office. The motion for the adoption of said resolution was duly seconded by Connoilman Ma'armel, the question being, "Shall the resolution pass?" The Mayor directed the call the roll, which resulted as follows: AYES: CONLEY, DUTTON, KIMBROUGR, MUMFORD, MOCONNEL, AND WHEELER. RATES AND, ABSENT: NONE. Whereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and RESOLUTION NO. 2 adopted; and directed the Clerk to record the same upon the Journal of the Proceedings of the Counajlvi as a
