The C cil met in called session of Council_,an,Robb at 8 P.M. with Mayor Smeed, presiding,
Cou cilme n, Fouling, Ear on, I.i.nbrough, Mumford, Robb, & Wheeler, present.
The Minutes of the previous session acre read and approved.
Dr.A J.Dickman presented his resignation as Dairy Inspector, and on motion of Iiarmon, seconded
1amford, the same was accepted;also the I,iayor was instructed to interview Dr.I,IOCoy concerning
the Office of Dairy Inspector.
Apet1tion, purporting to contain -851: names, asking that the Council do not pa s an Ordinance
permitti 3 Theaters to remain open on Sundays, was read, and on motion of VTheeler, seconded by
Rumford, he same was presented to the Original com;.dttee of investigation, L'imbrough & Robb.
Another su: petition, purporting to contain 54 names, was u- esented, asking for the
mpening o Theaters eta. on Sundays, so it was voted on motion of Harmon, seconded by Fouling, that
the petition be given the same consideration as the others It was then voted on motion of
Fouling, seconded by Robb, that no more petitions for or against the permitting of T"neatersetc,
to remain ope on Sundays,would be accepted, after tonight, ManddVW,Sept. 8th, 1924.

A motion Was made by Limbrough, and seconded by Ila=on, that the rules requiring the reading of
a bill on three separate days be suspended, and the bill read the second time by title and the
third tim in full and placed on its final passage.The roll being called on the same the result was
as follow

NAY. AND ABSENT: NONE. So the mayor declared the motion had passed and instrcuted the Clerk
to read t e bill the second time by title and the third ti.e in fu @1 and the roll being called Ske
on the �u at ion, as put by the Idayor, shall Bill 110.15 pass, with the following result:

the Caldw 11 Tribune, the Official Ilewspaper of the City of Caldwell,idaho.
A mol Z, was made by Peuling, seconded by Wheeler, that inasmuch as the bridges on
Indian Cr e'k on Aven St.,on 5th, 6th,9th, 11th, 12th, and between 5th & 6th Streets on Arthur
St., are in no=d of repair and restoration by reason of casualty and accident, happening after
passage o •Ainual Appropriation Ordinance, that the City .ligineer be ordered to make necesaery
repair an restoration of said bridges by placing of nee planks and reflooring with
bithulitI

The Council met in rogular session, pursuant to adjournvient at 8 1.I1. with !ayor Sme d, absent,
President of the C3u/ioil, presiding, Councilmen, Peuling, Harmon, Kimbrough, 2: y obb, prese-
nt, and '.'!heeler, absent.
The following Resolution by Harmon was presented, and upon motion of Harmon, seconded by
Kimbrough, and carried, the same was adopted as follotias:
l Fhereas, the City of Caldwell.Idaho, is the earner of the following dese ihed lots and
bl wit in the said City, to -wit:
Blocks, 21, 23, and 28 of Fair Acres Addition to Caldwell, and Block®- 24 and Lots Ito 20
of Black 22 and 25 of Masbroucks ,esubdivision of Caldwell,Idaho, and,
!Slhereas, there has been organized sithin said City it Corporation, known as the Cal well
memorial Park Amusen w
3nt �saociatio, tie purpose of which is to _rovide an annual Fall Sh and
Exposition, the said corporation being a represaltative body of Caldwell business men a Id
citizens, and organized solely for th bettoe.iient of said City, and:
'Ihereas, the said last named body needs ground of sufficient size end like wise of lose
location to the civic center of the municipality for the quFFgQae proper presentation of their
contemplated show, and,
Thereas, the City of Cnldw ell have no immediate use for said above mentioned lands or
fu-Ids with which to care for and improve the same, and,
'4iereas, the Caldwell M lark Amusement 'association is desirous of procuri g the
said lands and premises, and,
Miereas, it arrears to be tothe best interests of the City that the same be used br said
corporation,
11ow, Therefore, be it resolved that the sai� City lease said premises to said corpo ation
for a period of ten years at the rental of one dollar per year, and that the Mayor and ility Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized w!d empowered to e_ecute a lease, aeopy of which is ,ereto
attached, for said premises with said corporation.
