Thereupon Me956re Walter Griffith, John Smeed, Earl Broelman and L. IV. Botkin,
directors and officers of the Idaho Meat Producers Association, appeared before the Mayor
and Council relative to the contract for the construction of a City Water Pipe Line to the
sight of the building to be constructed for the proposed plant and a contract for the con-
struction of said pipe line was presented to the Mayor and Council and after due considerat',
it appearing to the best interest of the City of Caldwell that the contract be executed as
presented.
Now, therefore Councilman Oakes presented'the following Resolution and moved its
adoption thereof which motion was duly seconded by Coiuzcilman MumfOrd
RESOLUTT,ON.
By Oakes.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Contract presented for the extension of City Water
Pipe Line to the sight of the building to be constructed by the Idaho Meat Producers Asso-
ciation as presented to the Mayor and Council be executed and the Mayor and City Clerk of
the City of Caldwell be and they are hereby authorized to execute said Contract under the
seal of the Citz of Caldwell.
A Yea and Nay vote was had thereon with the following result;
Yea: oaken, tTumford, Fenrich, Babcock and Hinds.
Nay; None.
Absent end not voting; Boynton.
Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution duly adopted.
There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Fenric
seconded Mnmford that Council adjourn. Motion carried.

City Hall, with the Mayor W. R. Hollingsworth, presiding.
On the Holl Call the following Councilmen answered present: Edger L. Oakes, W.
S. Boynton, W. E. Babcock, G, M, Fenrich end Norvil T, Rinds. Absent; F. D. Mumford.
Moved by Hinds, seconded by Fenrich that a notice be served on A. F. N to
remove the fence on Georgia Avenue between Cherry and Be Streets. Motion carried.

Mr. Hugh Caldwell, representing Mr. Boothiappe k ed before the Council and re-
auested that construction be discontinued on the Most Packers Sewer until the Right of Way
has been eettled.

Moved by Boynton, seconded b7 Hinds,' that the City construct a drainage ditch
inside the old Interurban Right of Way scross Belmont Street and throw lands owned by
Canyon Abstract and Title Company and Canyon County to the intersection of the center line
of the alley between Albany and Belmoht Streets which is the location of the new sewer and
d
drainline between the river the Packing Plant, on condition that right of way be available
across lands owned by the County also to flume the proposed ditch be that irrigation crater
can be conducted over the ditch to irrigate lands lying and abutting the west side. Motion
carried.
Mr. Leonard, State Sanitary Engineer and Mr. Ward from the Department of Public
Welfare• appeared before the Mayor and Council and recommended that the City in the interest
of health adopt the United States Public Health Service Milk Ordinance,
The Mayor instructed the, Health Officer to prepare this ordinance for presentatie
to the Co for their consideration.
There being no fl basiness to come before the Council it was moved by Oakes,
seconded by Hinds that Council adjourn, Motion carried.
