COUNCTI, CHAMBERS CADDWELD IDAHO SEPTEMBER MTH,1920
Council met in regular session with Mayor Ward prediding,the following"
Coupcilmen were present;
Dunlap ,Fue ling, Hayman, Moore, Butt on and Wescott.
W.L.Steunenberg representing T.O.O.E. asked permission to erect tents in the
Membrial Park during the Grand lodge . Mayor referred this to the Park committee
A.L.Murphy was present and'oomplimented the council on the betterment of
traffic oonditions,since the appoint�of the motorcycle cop.
C.D.Purkhieer representing the Caldwell Traction Co. suggested temporary
repairs be made on the track between 7th and 9th Ave ou Arthur St. This was re-
fer3°ed to street committee.
Motion made by "Wescott n seconded by "Sutton " that a rate of ten (10) cents
within the city limit, as set by Utillities Committee, be granted during the time
line is in hands of receiver.
On the motion the vote was;
Ayes ;- Pueling,Hayman,Moore,Sutton and Wescott.
Nayes;- Dunlap. Carried.
Lotion made by "Sutton rr seconded by "Wescott" that matter of fuel for park
be referred tomFark committee.
Mayor referred Traffic Ordinance to Wescott and Hayman.
Matter of telaphoneireferred to Water Committee.
Minutes of last meetings was read and on motion of Hayman seconded by Sutton
saika were approved as read.
Street Committee repotted streets fixed at second and Fillmore.
Motion by Fueling seconded by Wescott that matter of painting of Truck be
referred to Fire Committee with power to act.
, The following bills against the city were read and on motion of Heymann
seconded by Wasoott were allowed and Clerk instructed to issue warrante on the
rest' ective funds for same.

City Clerk was in structed to write to John E.Price for form of bond
Bid of J.Frank tales for($4400.00) Your Thausand Your hundred dollars
for sewer District # 8 was received, but in as much as this exceeded the City
Engineers estimate the bid was rejected.
Moved By Dunlap seconded by Wescott that city purchase from false
Lumber Co. a portible house for *ive Hundred dollars ($500.00) to be used as a
pest house ; Carried.
ORDINANCE NO. 344 was read the first time -.;
AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL
IDAHO."TO CREATE AND ESTABLISH LOCAL STREET IMPROVBMFZTT DISTRIOT NO.5 OF THE CITY
OF CAIDWELL,IDAHO,FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING SUITABLE CURBS AND GUTTERS THEREID6
Motion by °Dunlap" seconded by "Fauling" that the rules requiring the read
ing of an ordinance on three separate dates be suspended and that the ordinance be
read the second time by title and the third time in full and placed on its final
passage. On the roll being called on the motion the vote was;
Ayes. Dunlap,Feuling,Hayman,Moore,and Wescott.
Absent;Sutton.
The clerk thereupon read the ordinance the second time by title and the
third time in full and the Mayor announced that the ordinance stood for final pasaa3D
the vote on the question was a s follows;
Ayes; Dunlap, Feuling,Hayman,Moore,and Wescott.
Absent; Sutton.

City Engineer F.L.Loekwood presented the Platt of Stuenenberg Aaerage'
for adoption.
Motion was made bjr Hayman seconded by Dunlap that the platt be adopted
