Council met in regular session with Mayor Dunlap presiding and the following Councilmen present; DAVIS, DUTTOII, HOFF UJi , JACKSON, BiCCONIIEL AND MUfLFORD. ABSENT, NONE Minutes of previous sessions read, and on motion duly seconded were approved. Mr. Art Desmond appeared before the Council asking that some regulation be granted whereby he could get sufficient heat for the Caldwell Rooming House; that it would be a matter of enlarging and extending the flue. It was voted on motion of Jackson, seconded by NoConnel, that the matter be refered to the;Fire Committee, Fire Chief and City Engineer. It was voted on motion of Jackson, seconded by McG onnel, that the bill of the Department;of Public Works for rental of loader and truck in the sum of $83.42 be refered to the Street Committee. It was voted on motion of Jackson, seconded by Dutton, that the bill of Wm. P. Schnabel for auto supplies in the sum of !13.80 be laid on the table until the neat regular meeting. It was voted on motion of N.cConnel, seconded by Dutton, that the following bills as approved be allowed, End warrants drawn on the various funds totwit; 110. Claude Luallen reported that the collection of garbage under the present plan was not working Qut satisfactory. After some discussion it Wes voted on motion of Davis, seconded by Dattpn, that Claude Luellen be-employed as City Garbage collector at a salary of 'p100,00 per month. to be paid out of the General 7und. - Jackson It was i7oved by , seconded by Hoffman that the office of Traffic Police be discontinued, whereupon the "yor directed the Clerk to call the roll with the following result. Aye;,Dnvis, Dutton, 11offinen and Jackson. Nays; I.icConnel and Mumford. Absent; i The Mayor declared the motion herd carried. It waa,voted on mots -oh of Davis, seconded by Jackson, that the city buy a used car for ;?75.00, to he used for the Road and Water Departments.
