The Regular Monthly ifeeting of the City Council met in the Council Room 'of the City Hall, with the Mayor, Emery L. Vassar, presiding. On Roll Call, the following Councilmen answered present: Edgar' L. Oakes, W. S. Boynton, C. E. Bales, G.W. Montgomery, W. R. Hollingsworth and G. M. ?enrich. Absent: None. Application for license to sell 3,2 beer was read from Toby Walker, the fee accompanying the application. Motion by Bales, seconded by Hollingsworth that "this - licenae be granted. Motion carried. Mr. Miller of the _'first National Bank end Mr. Stringfield of the First National Bank of Idaho presented a proposition to the City for borrowing $35,000.00 on anticipation notes fob 5 percent interest the banks furnishing all legal proceedings. The City to take 620,00O.DO now and rest later as needed. The Mayor asked for a yea and nay vote which resulted as follows: Yeas: Oakes, Boynton, Bales, Montgomery, Fenrich' and Hollingsworth, Nays: None. Absent and not voting: None. Mr.Wagoner appeared before the Council and stated that other parties were hauling garbage and asked that they be stopped. The Mayor advised Mr. Wagoner that this matter would be looked into. Mr.Beatty reported that he had most of the double tap meters taken care of. A representative of the 0. S. L. appeared and requested a cheaper water rate. The Mayor referred the matter to the Superintendent of the Water Department. Councilmen Fenrich and Oakes gave a report on the Peddlers License. Motion by Boynton,: seconded by Montgomery that this report be accepted and placed on file. Motion carried.' Councilmen Bales and Hollingsworth reported that the majority of the people were not against the distribution of hand bills. Motion by Montgomery, seconded by Fenrich that this report be accepted. Motion carried. Councilmen Montgomery and Boynton reported that it would not be advisable to amend the Dairy Ordinance. Motion by Hollingsworth, seconded by Oakes that the Dairy Ordinance should not be amended. Motion carried. The BilIs�or August were read and on motion by Montgomery, seconded by Holling that these bills be allowed and Warrants be ordered drawn for the various amounts all of which had been approved by the Chairman of the Finance Committee.
