Council meet in regular session. A quorum not being present, Council
adjorned until Tuesday evening September 4th., 1917, at _8 o'clock P. 11.

Council meet in regular session, pursuant to adjornment with Mayor E. H.
Plowhead, presiding, present, Councilmen Dickena, Amos J. Killer, Kitchell and Sanberg,
J
City Clerk S. Ben Dunlap, when the following business wus transacted:
Employment of City Nurse- Agreement with School Board authorized.
School Trustees Breshears, Cole and Maxey and 2upt of Schools Clifford
appeared and discussed with the Council the employment of a City Nurse to be paid jointly
by the City and School District. In the matter of a physician to work in conjunction with
a city nurse, Dr. Cole stated that County Physician Faffar, had agreed to look after the
City's health work, acting as City Physician without compensation other than that received
by him as County Physician, provided he was furnished with the assistance. of a City nurse
and City health officer.
It was voted upon motion of Councilman Kitchell, seconded Councilman Amos J.
Miller, that the Council enter into an agreement with the school board to jointly employ
a City nurse at a salary of not to exceed $100.00 per month, the City to pay 50% thereof.
Frank Gilbert request for rebate on auto livery license.
Mr. Frank Gilbert appeared, stating that he had purchased an auto livery
license, covering a period of one' year at a cost of $25.00. He stated that he had need the
license for a period of two months and he asked the Council to rebate him for that portion
of the time covered by the license and for which the license had not been used.
City Attorney Griffiths stated that in his opinion the request could not be
legally granted.

The minutes of the sesoion held August 6th., 1917, were read and approved.

Claims and Warrants ordered drawn.
The following bills were read. It was voted on motion of Dickens, seconded
Sanberg, that the same be allowed and that the Clerk be and ?iereby is directed to draw
warrants on the various funds in payment of the same as follows;
