accompanying 8keh application.

The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the Council Room of-the
City Hall, with the Mayor H.E. McCluskey, presiding.

On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: Thurlow Bryant, Alilbur
Daksn; Pxjed E. Newman, Floyd blunt and E.E. Frasher. Absent: C. 0. McDannel.
The Minutes of August 4th., were read and approved as read.
The i6eyor informed the Council that Per, bovie had tendered his resignation as
Nilk Inspector.
Moved by Daksn, seconded by -Bryant that the Council accept ^r. Bevis's resignel
and that Mr. Powell be appointed !Milk Inspector. Motion carried,
Moved by Bryant, seconded by Newman that street lights be installed at the
irtersectioon of Derry and Kimsey Streets and at 11th and Elgin Street. Motion carried.

transfer $500 quarterly from the :Waterworks Fund to the '.ti'ater Depreciation Fund in ac-
cordance with Ordinance No'270. Motion carried.

The above was read for the first time and the Council proceeded to the considers-
don of said Blll"and Ordinance. It was moved by Fresher, seconded by Blunt that the rules
-squiring that the reading of a bill on threeseparete days be suspended and that Bill No
be read the second time by title and the third tire in full, section by section placed o
is final passage,( The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll 8n the motion with the
ollowing result: Those voting In the affirmative were: Bryant, Dakan, Newman, Blunt and
rasher. Negative; None. Absent and not voting. McDannel. The Mayor declared the
otion had passed and directed the Clerk to read bill Ito 8, the second time by title and
