COUNCIL CHAMBERS CITY OF CALDWELL. IDAHO. SEP2nd. 1919.
Council met in regular session with Mayor Ward presiding; the fallowing
Councilmen were present;
Dickens, Dunlap, Fouling, Hayman. Moore and Sutton.
Minutes of last regular and special sessions were read and on motinn
Dunlap seconded by Fouling same were approved as read.
The following bills against the City were presented and on motin Sutton
seconded by Dickens same were allowed and Clerk instructed to issue warrants on
the respective funds for same.

GRAND TOTAL WARRANTS IS
.On motion of Hayman seconded by Sutton the City Clerk was inebrueted
to write Mess High and Pritohman for a statement of the amount of work done
in the interest of the Bond issue.
.Bids dor the construction of Sidewalks were submitted my
C H Leighty, J H Forbes. Caldwell Plbg & Htg Co and Bales and Calkins
and the bid of C H Leighty appearing to be the lowest bid and on motion
of Hayman seconded by Sutton same was awarded to him.
The Chief of the Fire D epartment requesting permission to attend
the Fire Chiefs Convention at Portland Sep 16th. to 18th. it was votod on motion
of Dickens seconded by Hayman that request be granted and that the City allow
Rail Road Fare and Hotel Bills while he was gone.
Ordinance No 322 entitled
6N ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE I.WNICIPAL COUPON STREET n(PROVEIMIT
BONDS OF THE CITY OF , CALDWELL. IDAHO TO THE AMOUNT OF FIFTY1
THOUSAND DOLLARS (552,000.) AND PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT THEREOF.
was read the first time.
Motiom was made by Hayman and seconded by Dickens that the rules
requiring the reading of an ordinance on three separate days be dispensed
with and that Ordinance No 322 be read the second and third time in full and
paloed on its final passage. on the motion the vote was ;
Ayes Dickens, Dunlap, Fouling, Hayman, Lloore and Sutton
Neyea, None.
The olerk thereupon read Ordinance No 322 the second time in full
and the third time in full. The Mayor announced that the ordinance had been read
the second and third time in full and stood for final passage and on the
motion shall Ordinance No 322 pass the vote was;
Ayes Dickens, Dunlap, Fouling. Hayman, Moore and Sutton.
Noyes and absent no ne.
The Mayor announced that the motion had carried by more than the
necessary three fourths and XMIXEYWRYMm and thereupon in open council
approved same and the city clerk was instraoted to make properr record of same
in Ordinance Book No 3.

EXTENSION BONDS OF = CITY OF CALDWELL. IDAHO. TO THE

AND PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT THEREOF.
Motion was made by by Hayman and seconded by Dickens that the rule

and paloed on its final passage. On the motion the vote was;
Ayes; Dickens, Dunlap, Reuling, Hayman, Moore and Sutton.

three fourth and thereupon in open council signed and approved same
and the clerk was instructed to record same in Ordinance Book No 3.
Ordinance No 324 entitled,
AffORDINANOE GRANTING TO HOLT SEED COILPANY. ITS SUCCESSORS
AND ASSIGNS. A FRANCHISE TO CONSTRUCT. MAINTAIN AND OPERATE
MOTIVE
BY EITHER ELECTRIC OR STEAM 2Oi1ER , OR TO CAUSE TO BE CONSTRUCTED
MAINTAINED AND OPERATED EITHER BY STEAM OR ELECTRIC MOTIVE
POWER. A RAILROAD TRACK FOR SWITCHING PURPOSES. ON A[FD OVER CERTAIN
STREETS AND ALLEYS IN THE CITY OF CALDWELL. IDAHO: AND TO CONSTRUCT
OPERATE AND MAINTAITI TI-J CX SCALES IIP SAID ALLEYS was read the
first time.
On motion Dunlap seconded by Sutton that the rule requiring
the reading of and ordinance on three separate days be dispensed with
second
and that Ordinance No 324 be read the time by title and the
the third time in full and pkaoed on its final passage, the vote on
the motion was as follows;
Ayes; Dickens, Dunlap, Reuling, Hayman, Moore and Sutton.
Nayes and absent none.
The clerk thereupon read Ordinance the second time by title
and the third time in full, The Mayor annouced that the Ordinance
had bean rese the second time by title and the third time in full
and stood for final passage and on the motion shall "ordinance
No 324 pass? the vote was;
Ayes; Dickens, Dunlap, Fouling, Hayman. Moore and Sutton.
Nayes and absent none.
The 2dayor announced that Ordinance No 324 had carried by more than
the necessary three fourths and in open Council signed and approved

adjourned till Monday the 9th.
