It should also be noted that there remains to Se settled an account between Fairbanks
Morse and Company, pump supplier, and Cook Electric Company., electrical subcontractor,
for construction of Lhe City's Sewage Treatment Plant. The electrical subcontractor
undertook certain modifications of electrical equipment for the benefit of the Fair-
banks Morse Cemnany, and to date, has not received compensation for these services.
Cook Electric Company advised us Agust 8, 1757 that it was their intention to file a
lien for recovery of the cost of labor and materials Wa)'Ch Cook Electric Company has

expended in behalf of the Fairbanks Morse Company. It s our reco rnendation, therefore, I,I
that it would be unr-ise and probably illegal to release any portion of the money now `
n:tained from Contractor's payments until satisfactory settlement of the clain of Cook I II

The Mayor informed the Council the meeting was called to receive bids on construction of Comfort
'Room at Memorial Park.
Two bids were received and opened as follows:

The bids were discussed and it was brepht to the attention of the Mayor and "ouncil the bids were
inexcess of the amount set up in the Budget for this purpose.
The City Attorney advised a municipality could use City employees on construction work.
Moved by Luby, seconded by Finley bids be rejected and a plan worked out to use City labor.
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion wac unanimously carried.

The ULCUlar Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the Gauncil Rooms of the City Hall, with

Upon Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: Fran blomquist, Max Luby, Emile Shorb,
L. P. Eldredge and Leland Finley. Absent: E. L. Vassar.
Stanley Jensen, member of the Golf Association was present and requested the City to authorize
the relocation of Green No. Four.

Moved by Blomquist, seconded by Luby Green No. Four be relocated,.,, recommended by the Golf
Association, within the year.

Upon Roll C it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
It was also recommended by the Golf Association the Golf Club House be provided with adequate
heating facilities.
Gloved by Luby seconded by Blomquist bids be called to provide heating equipment for the Colf
Club House.
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
The following letter was read from D; on Baird, Building Inspector and ordered spread on the '
Minutes:

The I. G. 0. F. Lodge is asking permission to string Four or five temporary
banners across streets entering Caldwell and one across Kimball from the
I. 0. 0 F. Te:r:ple to McCluskey Building.
