The Council met pursuant to call and acknowledgement of notice in the following form:

We, the undersigned Llayor and L!embers of the City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, do each
hereby acknowledge notice of a special meeting of said City Council to be held at the Covncil Chambers in
the City Hall in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, at the hour of 5:00 P.N. on the 25th day of ku mst 1952,
for the transaction of all business in connection with the following objects: Consideration of the Assessme
Roll of focal Improvement District # 19.

Upon Roll Call the following Councilmen eyed present: Fran Blomquist, John Evers, L. E.
Burrell, Ernest Weick and J. V. Bettis. Absents Dale Fonrich.
The City Engineer presented the Assessment Roll of Local Improvement District 9 19, to the 1Wayor
and Council.
Thereupon the following Resolution was presented to the Layor and Council by Councilman ltyers,
who moved the adoption thereof, which motion was duly seconded by Councilman Bettis.

7MEREAS, the assessment roll of Local Improvement district No. 19 for the City of Caldwell,
Canyon County, Idaho, has been completed in compliance with the provisions of the laws of the State of
Idaho, in such cases made and provided, and the ordinances of the said City of Caldwell, Canyon County,
Idaho, said assessment roll having been prepared and made out by the committeo on sewers, together with
the City Engineer, containing the number of assessment, the names of the owner if known, and if not known
that the name is unknown, a description of each tract assessed and the total amount of the assessment, and s
assessment roll having been so prepared was certified to the Council of the City of Caldwell by the com—
mittee on sewers and the City Engineer,
N07P, TNERF.FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Yayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho:
Section 1. That the assessment roll of Local Improvement District No. 19 for the City of Caldwell
Canyon County, Idaho, be, and the same is hereby accepted and placed on file in the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho. That the City Clerk is hereby aithorixed and directed
to give due and legal notice, in compliance with the provisions of law, to the owner or owners of property
which is assessed in said assessment roll, whether named or not named, by publication in three successive
issues in the Caldwell News— Tribane, a daily newspaper printed and published -in the City of Caldwell, Idaho,
and the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell. Said notice shall state that the said property owners
may file, within tAn days from the first publication of said notice of time to file objections to said
assessment roll, objections to said assessment roll and that objections will be considered by the Mayor and
Council on the 8th day of September, 1952, at 8100 o'clock P.M.

"NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF ASSESSMENT ROLL OF LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 19 FOR THE CIY OF CAIDWELL, CANYON
COUNTY, IDAHO, BY THE CITY CLERK AND OF THE TPSE AND PLACE FOR FILING PROTESTS TO SUCH ASSESSMENT ROLL AND
OF THE TIME SET FOR HEARING PROTESTS BY THE CITY COUNCIL.
'NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN That the assessment roll of Local Improvement District No. 19 for the City
of Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho., is now on file in my office in the Oity Hall of the �'ity of Caldwell,
Canyon County, Idaho, and that the same was filed at 5t0O o'clock P. M. on the 25th day of August, 1952,
and that the City Council will meet on the 8th day of September, 1952, at 8100 o'clock P. M., at the City
Council Chambers in the City Hall in said City of Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho, to hear and consider
objections to said assessment roll by the party or parties aggrieved by such assessment. The owner or
owners of any property which is assessed in said asseasment roll whether named or not in such assessment
roll may, within ten days from the first publication of this notice, file his objections in writing to said
assessment or to any part thereof which said objections must be definite and specific as to the property or
piece of property in said assessment roll to which objection is made as well as the specific ground for such
objection. The assessment roll will be open for inspection at the office of the City Clerk of the City of
Caldwell, Carryon County, Idaho, on each and every day between the yours of 9200 o'clock A. M. and 5:00
o'elosk P. M., excepting Sundays, holidays and Saturdays, that with respect to Sundays and holidays said
office will be closed and on Saturdays, the assessment roll will be open for inspection between the hours
of 9:00 O'clock A. M. and 12:00 o'clock noon.

Upon Roll Call those voting in the affirmative weres.•Blomquist, Burrell, Myers, Weick and
Bettis. Negative: None. Absent and not voting: Fenrieh.
Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution adopted.
There being no further business to come before the Oouncil, it was moved by Councilman Bettiis;'
seconded by Councilman Blomquist that Council adjourn. Motion carried.

The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the Council Rooms of the City Hall, with
the Mayor, Jason C. Smith, presiding .
Upon Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: Fran Blomquist, L. F. Burrell, John
Myers, Ernest Weick, Dale Fenrich and J. M. Bettis.
Application for Pool License was read from Brink's Inc., the tee accompanying the application.
Moved by Weick, seconded by Fenrieb that this License be granted.
Upon Roll C it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
Application for Punch Board License was read from Saratoga Club, the fee accompanying the ap-
plication.
Moved by Weick, seconded by Fenrich that this License be granted.
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
This being the time set for the consideration of objections to the assessment roll of Local Im-
provement District No 12, of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, the Clerk presented to the Council the Affidavit
of Publication of the NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF ASSESSMENT ROLL OF LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO 19, FOR THE
CITY OF CALDWELL, CANYON COUNTY, IDAHO, BY THE CITY CLERK AND OF THE TIME AND PLACE FOR FILING PROTESTS TO
SUCH ASSESSMENT ROLL AND OF THE TIVE SET FOR HEARING PROTESTS BY THE CITY COUNCIL, which affidavit is in
words and figures as follows, to -wit-

H. R. BECHTEL, being first duly sworn,deposes and says: That he is the Foreman of Caldwell News -
Tribune, a daily newspaper published at Caldwell, Idaho, within the meaning of Chapter 154 of the 1933
Session Laws of Idaho -. published six consecutive days a week except legal holidays. And that the publisher
of said The Caldwell hews- Tribune, a daily newspaper, has all the time since the 5th day of July, 1933 and
in each issue thereof, at the head of the editorial column bf said newspaper, announced the day of the week
to -wit: Saturday, on which legal notice required by law or by order of any Court of competent jurisdiction
to be published weekly, will be published? that the said paper is in general circulation in Canyon County,
