Turner, Mayor of the City of Caldwell, have called a meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall upon August 17, 1914 at eight o'clock P. M. the object of which meeting is as follower- OBJECT The object of the meeting is the passage of an Ordinance announcing the the intentions of the City of Caldwell to create three sprinkling districts and the taking of other necessary steps in said regard. Present Councilmen Ackley, Adams, Boone, Harrington and Steun- anberg, S. Ben Dunlap, Clerk. The following business was transactede The call for the meeting was read as follows i Caldwell, Idaho, August 22, 1914. To the Members of the City Council. Gentlemen s You are hereby notified that a Special Meeting of the City Council is here- by called for Monday morning August twenty fourth, Nineteen Hundred Fourteen, at nine olcluck a. m, , to be held in the Council Chamber of the City Hgll of said City. The object of the said meeting is to consider the passage of a bill declaring the intention of the City of Caldwell to create a Sprinkling District, known as i Sprinkling Improvement District Number One, and the taking of other necessary steps In this regard. This call is issued by virtue of the authority vested in me as President of the Council, during the temporary absence from the City of the Mayor. Parker, President of the Council Bill No. 15, by Councilman Ackley, entitled, "An Ordinance declaring the intention of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, to establish within the limits of said City a local improvement district to be known as "Local Sprinkling Improvement District Number One", and the intention at said City to establish therein a sprinkling district ", was read for the first time. A motion was made by Councilman Adams that the rules be suspended and that the reading on three separate days be dispensed with and that Bill No. 15 be read the second time by title and the third time in full and placed on its final passage. The roll being called on the motion the vote resulted s Ayes- Ackley, Adams, Boone, Harrington, Steunenberg -5 Nayes and Absent -Nona, So the motion prevailed. Bill No. 15 read the second time by title. Bill No, to read the third time in full and placed on its final passage. On the question shall bill No. 15 pass ? The roll being called the vote resulted i Ayes - Ackley, Adams, Boone, Barrington, Steunenberg -5 Nayes and Absent -None. So bill No. 15 passed becoming Ordinance No. 245. It was voted upon motion of Harrington that the Council set Monday September 14, 1914, a* 7a30 o'clock p, m, as the time for hearing and considering objections to the creation of Local Improvement District Number One. It was voted upon motion of Steunenberg that the Water Superintendent be instructed to secure data on which to base ohargee for water used in municipal buildings, street fountains, fire hydrants and etc. It was voted upon motion of Boune that Council take a recess until Monday evening August 31, 1914, at 7:30 o'clock p. m. &W,,4cl City Clerk. Council Chamber, City of Caldwell, Idaho, August 31, 1914. Council meet in regular session pursuant to recess taken August 24, 1914, with Mayor C. H. Turner presiding, Councilman Ackley, Adams, Boone, Harrington, Parker and Staunenberg present, S. Ben Dunlap Clerk, when the following business was transacted a Superintendent of Water Works Swain Beaty, took up the matter of water used in the various municipal buildings, fire hydrants, flush tanks and etc, which had previously been referred to him. He reported an estimate on the amount of water used by the City In the various ways, and fur which nu charge had been made. The matter was discussed by the Councilmen and the following rates for water were fixed. Said rates to be effect- ive from July 1st, 1914,
