Absent: none. (CONSIDERATION OF BILL NC. 26 TO AMEND THE MUNICIPA CODE PERTAENTING TO THE SALARIES OF THE KAYOR AND CITY COD- CIL) Mayor Dakar explained that the purpose of the Special Meeting was to consider a Lill to increase tle salaries of the Mayor and City Council. Idaho State Code states _hat you ~an only make adjustments on the salaries during the budget: process preceding an election. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its .passage, approval, and publication according to law. Councilman Raymond was recognized and stated that it was unfortunate that the Council did not realize a Bill had to be passed and published by September 2nd. There was certainly no intent on the part of the Council to rush this through. Councilman Raymond, MOVED and it was SECONDED by Nancolas to waive the rule requiring that a bill be read at three separate times. Roll call vote. Those voting yes: Raymond, Ozuna, Nancolas, Simmons, Carpenter, and Houchins. Those voting no: none. Absent and not voting: none. MOTION CARRIED MOVED by Raymond, SECONDED by Nancolas that Bill No. 26 be passed and entitled Ordinance No. 2000 after the one reading in full. Roll call vote. Those voting yes: Raymond, Ozuna, Nancolas, Simmons, Carpenter, and Houchins. Those voting no: none. Absent and not voting: none.
