Counaoil met in regular session pursuant to adjournment with Mayor Y Grant Ward presiding; the following councilmen were presentp Dickens, Feuling, Hayman and Sutton. Absent Dunlap and Moore. Mh Meek represented by Mr Haydon appeared before the Council regarding the narrowing of tha Street in front of his place on Fillmore Street and on motion of Hayman seconded by Sutton it was voted to turn the curb on Fillmore Street makimg same 80 feet wide. Bide for the construction of sewer No 6 were opened and it was found that only two bids were presented as follows. J $ Forbes-- - - - - -- $4089.36 Cash only Caldwell Plbg & Htg Co - - -- N4691.69 for cash or bonds. It appearing that the bid of J H Forbes being the lowest bid on motion Feuling seconded by Dickens same was awarded to J H Forbes. The application of 0 H Hendershot Secy df the State Fair for permission to place a banner advertising the Fair across the Street was granted and Clerk instructed to notify him of action. Council met in regular session pursuant to adjournment with Mayor Ward presiding; the following Councilmen were present; Dickens. Feuling, Hayman and Sutton. Absent Dunlap end Moore. On-motion of Feuling seconded by Sutton the bid of J H Forbes for the construction of Sewre Dis No 6 being for cash only action was rescinded . Motion made by Dickens and seconded by Feuling that any further action regarding awarding of contract be deferred until next regular meeting. On motion Sutton and seconded by Hayman the City Engineer was instructed to go ahead with the construction of retaining wall on Indian Creek between 7th, and 9th. streets.
