The question being "Shall Bill No 9 pass ?" The Acting Aayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the above
question which resulted as follows: Those voting in the affirmative were: Mason, Glaisyer, Burrell, Myers,
Fenrich and Harding. Negative: None. Absent and not voting: None.
Thereupon the Acting wayor declared Bill No 9 had passed and the Acting atayor In open session of
the Council duly signed and approved the Bill, and the Clerk duly signed and attested the same which became II
Ordinance No No 729, The Acting Mayor directed the Clerk to make proper entry of the same and to cause Ord -
inanoe 729, to be published in the Caldwell News. - Tribune the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell,
'Idaho.
Moved by Myers, seconded by Fenrich that the Mayor and c ouncil accept the garbage disposal c:ntractT
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
There being no further business to come be fore the Council it was moved by Councilman Fenrich,
seconded by Councilman Myers that Council adjourn. Motion carried.

The Council met pursuant to call and acknowledgement of notice in the following forms
CALL AND ACKNOWLEDGEd^SNT OF NOTICE
We, the undersigned Acting Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho,
do each hereby acknowledge notice of a special meeting of said City Council to be held at the Council
Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, at the hour of 8t00 osClock P. M. on the 16th,
day of August, 1948, for the transaction of all business in connection with the following object: Opening
of bids for surfacing airport, introduction of Bill No 10, and second reading of Bill No 3, which object
was submitted to each of the undersigned in writing.

The Mayor informed the Council that no bids had been filed with the City Clerk.
The Mayor appointed a committee to meet with the CA.A. Engineer and work out a plan whereby th
City Road Department could do the surfacing of the Airport.
This being the time set for the second reading of Bill No. 3.
The Mayor instructed the Clerk to read Hill No 3, the second time by title.
Thereupon Councilman Burrell introduced Bill No 10, entitled:

by Harding, seconded by Fenrich that the rules requiring the reading of a Bill on three mparate days be
suspended and Bin No 10, be read the second time by title and the third time in full section by section andj

of Caldwell, Idaho.

seconded by Councilman Harding that Council adjourn. Motion carried

The regular Monthly Keating of the City Council met in the Council Roome of the City Hall with
the Acting Mayor , Leo J, Mason presiding.
On Roll Call the following Councilman answered presents Leo J. Mason, Wm Glaisyer, L. E. Burrell,
John Myers, Dale Fenrich, and Bryan Harding
The Bills for August were read and on motion by Glaisyer, seconded by Burrell that these Bills
be allowed and Warrants ordered drawn for the various amounts all Of which had been approved by the
