Council met in regular session persuant to adjournment of August 8, 1927, with
Mayor Dunlap presiding, and the following councilmen present; DAVIS, DUTTON, HOF?R=,JAC:
_ARD MUMFORD. ABSENT; MOCONNEL.
Claude Luellen the City Garbage Contractor, reported that the citizens respond -
&ng to the matter of oaring for their garbage and removing rubbish from their prpperty
was not satisfactory. The Mayor appointed Jackson and Dutton to investigate way -and-
means collecting garbage and rubbish, and also the approximate cost of an ineinerary
that would meet the City's needs.
It was voted on motion of Hoffman, seconded by Davis, that the fallowing bills
be allowed and warrants be drawn on the Water 7orks Depreciation Fund for the various
amounts

City Engineer Porter reported that the committee after considering the
amount of money necessary to operate the present irrigation system for the current
year, recommended that the sum of `5000.00 be raised for operation and maintenance,
and the sum of 5 ",4000.00 for permenant improvement and extension.
It was voted on motion of Dutton, seconded by Jackson, that the Council
determine that the sum of :5000.00 for operation and maintenance, and the sum of
X4000.00 for permenant improvements for the coming year in connection with our irri-
gation system, and that the City Clerk be and hereby is requested to notify the
Pioneer Irrigation District officials to levy a tax during the annual year necessary
to raise the said ammount of money.
A communication from the Caldwell Kiwanis Club under date of August 4, 1927,
relative to the Olt,-17 establishing an airport at some future time not far distant, was
reed. It was voted on motion of Jackson, seconded by 11umford, that a committee be
appo4ted to investigot a suitable l0Cr3tiell and a tentitave tract of land that would
meet the needs and report to the Council.
It was voted on motion of Llumford, seconded by Hoffman, that the following
resolution on the deatil of Tilliam Bischoff, Superintendent of Perks be adopted and
made a part of the minutes.

The matter
of the Stop Sign on
Cleveland boulevard at the intersection of Kimball
Avenue came to the attention of the Keyor
and Council.
After being carefully considered,
the Mayor was instructed to have same changed from Cleveland 'Boulevard
its present looatio;
to Kimball Avenue coming into eleveland
Blvd.
The Treasures report for the
quarter ending June
30, 1927, was read, and it wrs

Councilmen Davis reported that the Golf Club had asked for the City teams
to do soma leveling on its Golf minks North of town.
The matter of sprinkling assessment was referred to the Sprinkling Committee
and City Engineer to make an ?stimate of the amount of money necessary for the Street
Sprinkling Department for 192 nd a levy required to raise scid amount within the
Sprinkling District.
It was voted on motion of Koffman, seconded by Dutton, that Council adJourn
to August 22, 1927 at 8,00 P; 1,,.
