Krieger Construction Cc of Nampa, Idaho, have presented s bid in the smount of G, $ 56,228.00 for the construction of a ne.v City Hall, and WHEREAS, it appears to the best interest of the City of Caldwell to accept this bid. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City c lerk, on behalf of the City of Caldwell, be authorized to execute an agreement with L. H. Krieger Construction Co. for the construction of a City J Hall building. Upon Roll Call the following Councilmen voted in the affirmative: Blomquist, Cleveland, Shorb I and Eldredge. Negative: None. Absent and not voting: Burrell and Bettis, Moved by Cleveland, seconded by Blomquist the City accept the bid of Washington National Insurance Company for group insurance, i Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried. The City Clerk was a uthorized to cancel the group insurance policy carried with Banker's Life. The Mayor announced the following apppintments to the Police Department: Carrell D. Griggs Patrolman R. C. Doolittle Patrolman Moved by Cleveland, seconded by Blomquist that these appointments be confirmed. Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried. There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by 6 ouncilman Shorb, seconded by Councilman Cleveland that Council adjourn. Motion carried. The Mayor informed the Council the meeting was called to discuss a change in the furnace : I for the new City Hall. The Mayor, City Council and Ted Terry discussed the feasibility of installing a boiler that could be converted to gas. � ` Moved by Blomquist, seconded by Shorb the Mayor and City Engineer meet with Hummel, Hummel & lip 4 I Jones regarding the change in boilers , also, be authorized to make the change if it seems advisable.
