It was voted on motion of Harmon, seconded by Robb, that the Council adjourn to Wednesday, Aug.13th, 1924 at 8 r.M. A, PRO / MAYOR COUNCIL CHA,BERS, AUG. 13T The Council met in regular session ,pursuant to adjournamnt with Mayor Smeed, Presi ing, Coiacilmen, Reuling, Kimbrough, TdDmford, Robb, & 'Wheeler, present, and Harmon, absent. Bill 14o.14 was read for the second time. Reuling of the Committee of Investigation of Bids for the repair, extension etc of the Water Works system , reported it was the sane of his committee, after careful investiga ion as to errors sto., that the bid of J.R.Bales should be rejected, and the Contract award d to Hartenbower Bros. for the furnishing of Labor,Constroction, a.id Material. It was voted on motion of Kimbrough, seconred by Mumford, that whereas, J.Y. Bales h d not furnished security equal to 5% of the amount for the total amount to be done and the me erial to be furnished, that his bid bo rejected. It was voted on motion of Ltumford,seoonded by Kimbrough, that the report of the Comt ittee be accepted, inasmuch as the bid of Hartenbower Bros, for the extension, repair , and i prove meat of the Water Works System was the best bid, that the Contract be awarded to Hartenl ower Bros., and the May or and City Clerk be directed to execute the contract with the Harteril ower It+ voted on motion of Fouling, seconded by Mumford, that the Council adjourn to Wednesday, Sept. 3rd, 1824. .(� �f CITY CLERK.
