The Cbunoil met in regular session, Ndonday, August 9th, 1926, at 8 P.M.,,pursuant to 'adjournment with Mayor ialey, presiding, Councilmen, Cohley, Dutton, Kimbroug�, N3umford, NdoConnel, and LNhedler, present. It was voted on motion of Kimbrough, seconded by Dutton, that the City purchase irrigating pipe for the ditch in front of the Cavalry barn, provided that the Cavalry troop install the same. It was voted on motion of Kimbrough, seconded by NSumford, that the bills of 01 Nelson for W25.11 for the construction of Local Improvement Disttiot No. 6 be allowed, and warrants drawn fot the same. It was voted on motion of McConnel, seconded by Dutton, that the petition of Miller Hdw Co. at al to change the parking system on So. Kimball Avenue be tabled. BILL NO. 19 ENTITLED " AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF CALD"'ELI,JDAHO, AS "THROUGH" STREETS; PROVIDING FOR THE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS ON SUCH STREETS;PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THER°OF, AND REPEALING ALL ORDIMCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT H=111TH" was read for the first time. A motion was made by Kimbrough, seconded- by Mumford, that the rules requiring the reading of a bill on three separate days be suepainded, and the bill reed the second time by title, end the third time in full, and placed on its final passage. The Mayor caused the Clerk to call the roll on the motion with the following result: AYES: CONLEY, DUTTON, KI. PROUGH, IaWFOED, M,'OONNEL, AND 'iHEELER. NAYES AND ABSENT: NONPP THe mayor declared the ibotiona had passed by the necessary 3/4 majority, and caused the Clerk to r-ad Bill No. 19 the second time by title and the third ti . in full, section by section, and on the question, as put by the Mayor shall Bill Ao. 19 psesl the Maypr caused the clerk to callthe roll with following Result: AYES: CONLEY, DUTTON, KILIBROUG3, MUMFORD, lICCONNE., ANdD WEELEE. 11AYES AND ABSENT: NONE. Thereupon the - Xayor declared Bill No. 19 had passed; the Mayor appooved the same in open session, and declared this bill to become Ordinance No. 425, and directed the Clerk to make proper ent of the same, an d cause the same to be published in the Caldwell Tribune, the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, Canyon Cou ty -, "tats of Idaho. It was voted on motion of Dutton, seconded by Vlheeler, that the applioation of F.B.Dockhart and M.J.Horrigan to- epevs %e -s for a license to operate a Pool �A]4 at 117 So. Kimball Avenue be denied. It was voted on motion of McConnel, seconded by "umford that the Mayor appoint q committee of three to investigate Fire Fighting Apparatus and the committee to report back to the Council on August 23rd. The Mayor appointed Kimbrough, Conley, and No9onnel. It was voted on motion of McConnel, seconded by Numford, that the Council adjourn -to August 23rd, 1926, at 8 P.M. APPROVE CITY CLERK. 11AYOR.
