COUNCIL CHAMBERS, AUGUST 7, 1944, BOO P.m. The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the Council Rooms of the City Fall, with the Mayor T Bryant, presiding. On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: Pete Olesen, R. R. McNeill, 0. L. Thornock and E. E. Fresher. Absent; J. Randall Sloop and F. E. Newman. The Minutes of July 5th. 10th., 11th., and 24th., were read. The Bills for July were read and on motion by Clasen, seconded by McNeill that these Bills be allowed and warrants be ordered drawn for the various amount" all of which had been approved by the Chairman of the Finance Committee. C. Garber appearedlbefore the Council and requested that a sidewalk be constructed for ingress and egress to and from the New Lincoln School. Thereupon the following Resolution was presented to the Mayor and Council by Councilman Fresher. I L RESOLUTION, By Fresher. A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALK ACCORDING TO PLAN 3, ALONG AND BESIDE THE SOUTHEASTERLY SIDE OF 12thAVENUE, BEGINNING AT THE SIrLFWALK LINE ON THE SOUTHEASTERLY SIDE OF E VEHETT ST. AND RUNNING THENCE SOUTHWESTERLY AND PARALLEL SOUTHWESTERLY AND PARALLEL TO THE VOUTHEASTF.RLY SIDE Or 12th AVENUE, A DISTANCE OF 630 FT. AM THENCE'WEST: "A "DISTANCE - OF 47 ft:. WHEREAS, it is necessary and proper that a sidewalk be constructed as hereinafte described for public use and particularly for public use in the matter of ingress and agrees to andfrom the New Lincoln School. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: (1). That sidewalk be constructed according to Plan 3 of Section 8 -307 Caldwell Code-of 1942, sidewalk to bbeloceted on 12th Avenue and described as follows: Beginning at the side walk line on the southwesterly aide of Everett St. and running thence southwesterly parallel to and 3 ft. from the Southeasterly side of 12th Avenue, a distance of 530 ft., thence west a distance of 47 ft. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Fresher, seconded by Councilman McNeill that,said Resolution beadopted. The motion was unanimously carried and said resolution adopted. There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Councilman Clasen, seconded by Councilman McNeill that Council adjourn. Motion carried.
