BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, that the moneys presently being
held in The First National Bank of Caldwell, Caldwell, Idaho, in the Canyon County Civilian Defense fund,
be returned to the original donees, aid Frank Kibler is hereby authorized on behalf of the City of Cald-
well to withdraw the moneys now on deposit and prorate the same to the City of Caldwell and the City of
Nan-pa in accordance with their original contributions.
Upon Roll Call those voting in the affirmative were: Blomquist, Burrell, Wers, Weick, ?enrich
and Bettis. Negatives None. Absent and not voting: Mone.
Thereepon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution adopted.
There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Counel.lman Bettis,
seconded by Councilman Fenrich that Council adjourn. notion carried.

Mayor.
The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the Council Rooms of the City hall, with
the Vayor Jason C. Smith, presiding.
Upon Roll Call the following Councilmen answered presents Fran Blomquist, L. E. Burrell, John Coy
Ernest Weick, Dale Fenrich aid J. M. Bettis.
Mr. Lee R. Clemons and Cllr. ';. a. Bartlett were present and drew to the attention of the Mayor
and Council the broad powers vested in the Zoning Board of Adjustment and requested the Mayor and Council
to consider the revision of that portion of the Zoning Ordinance pertaining to the Zoning Board of Adjustme
The Mayor informed Mr. Clemons and Mr. Bartlett that this matter would be given consideration.
A Plat of Second Parkside Addition to the City of Caldwell was presented to the Mayor and Council
for their approval.
Moved by Burrell, seconded by Fenrich that this Plat be accepted, provided, the curb, gutter,
sewer, irrigation and paving meet with the approval of the City Engineer,
Upon Roll Call the following G ouncilmen voted in the affirmatives Blomquist, Burre ?1, Sayers,
Weick, Fenrich and Bettis. Negatives None. Absent and not voting: None.
Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried.
Mr. Melvin Davenport was present and informed the 'flavor and Council that Highway No. M was being
routed through Hoff's .Addition to the Cit,- of Caldwell and that ARr. Hoff requested certain streets in the
addition be vacated.
Moved by C$yers, seconded by Fenrich that Mr. Hoff prepare a re -plat of Hoff's Addition for the
approval of the Mayor and Council designating the streets to be vacated and the streets to remain open,
said streets t�5 remal.n open to be fifty feet in width.
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.

^hich was read for the first time and the t1 ouncil proceeded to a consideration of Bill No. 9. It �.
moved by Blomgldst, seconded by Purrell that the rules requiring tint the reading of a Bill on three
separate days be suspended and that Pill No 9, be read the second time ^y title and the t`ird t +_ye in full,
section by section and placed an its finel passage. The 5?ayor directed the Clerk toe all the roll on the
above motion with the follovd ng r"ult. Those voting in the affirmative xere: Plomq+eist, Purrell, T.'yers,
Feick, Fenrich and Pettis. Megative; None. Absent and not voting. The layor declared the motion had

passed by the necessary three - fourths majority and directed the Clerk to read till No 9, the second time
by title and the third time in full section by section. The Clerk read the Bill as directed. The question
being "Shall Bill No 9 pass?" The Ypyor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the above question which
resulted as follows: Those voting in the affirmative were: Blomquist, Burrell, Piers, Weick, Fenrich and
Bettis. Negatives None. Absent and not voting: None. -
Thereupon the Mai declared Bill No 9, had vassed and the Mayor in open session of.the Council
duly signed and approved the Bill and the Clerk duly signed and attested the same which became Ordinance
No 783. The '. yor directed the Clerk to make proper entry of the same and to cause Ordinance No 783, to
be published in the Caldwell News - Tribune the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, Idaho.
The City Attorney informed the Mayor and Council that a manager should be appointed for the Cald -
well Municipal Airport.

Uaon moticn by Blomquist, seconded by Weick the following Resolution was proposed:
Hi -REAS, it appears to the best interest of the Citp of Caldwell that a manager be appointed
for the. Caldwell 11unicipal Airport, and
WHEREAS, Miles Wallace has been recommended for this position.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that "Riles Wallace beappointed to act as Manager of the Caldwell
Municipal Airport.
Upon Roll Call those voting in the affirmative were. Blomquist, %Vera, Burrell, Weick, Fenrich
and Bettis. Negative: None. Absent and not voting: None.
Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution adopted.
Property owners on Washington Street between Logan and Ash have petitioned the Mayor art Council
to have that portion of Washington Street, also, advised the Mayor and Council that payment by each pro-
perty owner would be made in advance.
The City Attorney informed the Mayor and Council that B. C. Warren, Arthur Pierce and Ray Dunlap
had requested permission to make payments on the above mentioned oiling.

Upon motion by Bettis, seconded by Myers the following Resolution was proposed:
WHEREAS, S. C. Warren, Arthur Pierce and Ray Dunlap have requested permission to make payments
on the proposed Washington Street oiling, and
WHEREAS, it appears to the best interest of these property owners and the City of Caldwell that
this request be granted.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Clerk be authorized to accept from 5. C, Warren,
Arthur Pierce and Ray Dunlap notes bearing 5% interest.
Upon Roll Call those voting in the affirmative were: Blomquist, Myers, Burrell, Weick, Fenrich
and Bettis. Negative: None. Absent and not voting: None.
Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution adopted.

The Regular Monthly Sleeting of the City Council met in the Council Rooms of the City
Hall, with
the Mayor Jason C. Smith, presiding•
Upon Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present, Fran Blomquist, L. E. Burrell, Joha
Were, Ernest Waick, Dale Fenrich and J. M. Bettis.
Application for Punch Board License was read froa Jack Farley (Top Notch Cafe the fee accompany-
inh the application.
Moved by Myers, seconded by Burrell that this License bearanted.
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
The Mayor informed the Council that Sirs. C Carlson had presented her resignation
as a member of
the Municipal Swimming Pool Board.
Moved by Blomquist, seconded by Burrell that t d s resignation be accepted.
