Voted, on notion of Zeh, that the bide be referred to the street com-
mittee to report tomorrow evening.
Coal bids as follows were opened and on motion of Zeh, referred to the
building committee.
Central lumber and Coal Co., Utah lump, $8.00 Utah nuj $7.50; Rock Springs
lump 17.50; Utah mine run, 47.50 per ton.
Caldwell Ice & Cold Storage Co., Lump coal , $7.50 by car, f.o.b. Caldwell
$9.00 per ton, cash.
Patition of G. A. Philpot, praying that the city extend the water works
to the Dorman Lake View Aldition was read and on motion of Zeh, referred to the water
committee.
Voted, on motion of Zeh, that Council adjourn until Tuesday August 6, 1912
at 5 P.M.

Tuesday August 6, 1912. Council met in regular session pursuant to ad-
journment with Mayor Griffiths, presiding and Councilmen, Adam, Adams, Bardsley, Steunea
berg, Walker, Zeh, present; Sborb,clerk.
Bill No. 25, by Zeh, entitled, "An Ordinance known as appropriation bill
appropiating such sums of money as deemed necessary to defray all neaessary.expensee
and liabilities of the City of Caldwell for the fiscal year beginning on the first
Tuesday of May 1912, not otherwise provided for."
A motion was made by Zeh, that the rules be suspended and the readings on
three separate days be dispensed with and that Bill No. 25 be read the second time by
title and the third time in full and placed on its final passage. The roll being call-
ed on the motion, the vote resulted:
Ays- Adam, Adams, Bardsley, Steunenberg, Walker, Zeh -G.
Nays & Absent- None. So the motion prevailed.
Bill No 25 read the second time by title.
Bill No 25 read the third time in full and placed on its final passage.
On the question, Shal Bill No. 25 pass? the roll being called the vote resulted:
Ave- Adam, Adams, Bardsley, Steunenberg, Walker, Zeh, -5.
Nays and Absent- None.
So Bill No. 25 passed, becoming Ordinance No. 220.
Voted, on motionof Zeh, that the sinking fund monies be transferred from
the Bond & INterest fund to the proper sinking funds, as follows:
WW.Sinking fund, sinking fund, $1500.00
WW.Rx. Bond & Sinking Fund, 2500.00
Paving Bond Sinking Fund, 1300.00
Funding Bond Sinking Fund, 500.00
The Finance committee recummended the Dement claim for right of way be
disallowed.
On motion of Adams, the claim report of the finance was approved and the
claim disallowed
