Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution adopted. Councilman Myers entered and was marked present. Moved by Mason, seconded by Glaisyer that the city car, 1942 Mercury Sedan, used by the Police Department be not turned in to Burn: Chevrolet Co., in connection with the purchase of -a new police car but be decommissioned and the Chief of Police be authorized tQ sell same on the open market. On Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried. Therebeisir no further business to come before the Council it was moved by harding, seconded by Burrell, that Council adjourn. Motion carried. Mayor. City Clerk. COUNCIL CH&'BERS, AUGUST lith, 1947. 8200 P. M. The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the council Rooms of the City Hall, with the Mayor, R. H. McNeill Presiding. on Roll Call the following Councilmen answered presents Leo J. Masm , TIM Glaisyer, L. E.Burrell, i John H. Myers, Dale Fenrich and Bryan Harding. The Mayor informed the Council VAS was the time set for receiving bide for new fire equipment. The following bids were opened and read: Seagraves w 18,570.00 General Pacific Corp 17,841.00 American LaFrance 19,036.00 Buffalo 18,122.50 Buffalo 15,872.50 Mack 16,888.00 Arhens -Fox 18,653.00 The Mayor appointed the following Committee to meet with each bidder and discuss their bids Fire Chief L. C. Krall, Councilmen Harding, Mason and Glaisyer and Mayor R. H. McNeill. Thereupon Cauncilman Glaisyer introduced Bill N 10, entitled: AN ORDINANCE DEFINING RESTWMANT, ITINERANT RE'?TAURANT, EMPLOYEES, UTENSILS, HEALTH OFFICER, ETC., REQUIRING PERMITS FOR WE OPERATION OF SUCH EST'ABLISIIRINTS, PROHIBITING THE SALE OF A_JLTERATED, UPC'1UOLE- SOME OR MISBRANDED FOOD W DRINK, REGULATING THE INSPECTION, GP.ArING, REGRADING, AND PL'.CARDING OF SUCH ESTABLISHMENTS, TN^ 7NF'ORCEMFNT OF THIS ORLINANCE, AND THE FIXING OF PENALITIES. which was read for the first time and the Co mcil proceeded to a consideration of Bill No 10. Mr. Lew Rycraft, representing the Caldwell Bus Co., was present and requested renewal of the ,Caldwell Bus Line Co's franchise with the pity of Caldwell, also,reduction in the amount of insurance to be i carried.
