Oounoil mat in regular session perauant to adjournment of July 30, 1028, with Mayor Dunlap presiding and Oounoilmen DUTTON, HOFFMAN, JACKSON, MCCONNEL AND MUMFORD present. ABSENT: DAVIS. The !batter of Peckham Furniture Co. installing an electric washer at Tourist Park came to the attention of the dounoil. The price being $175.00, to be paid for by a service charge for use of weeher. When a sufficient amount has been collected to pay for same to become the property of the city. It was a$2eed-.to install the machine on a trial of thirty days. B. W. Smith appeared before the Council asking that the irrigation ditch on Third and Belmont Streets be changed. The matter was referred to Dutton and MOGonnal to investigate and report to the bounoil. Council met in regular session persuant to adjournment of Augmat 3, 1928, with Mayor Dunlap presiding and Councilmen DAVIS, DUTTON, HOFFMAN. JACKSON AND MCCONBEL, PRESEN ABSENT: MUMFOO. H. B; Thompson and G. A. Paterson, representing the Oregon Short Line Railroad Company appesrsd before the Mayor and Council in the interest of the improvement contem- plated in Looses Street Improvement District No. 6 along their right - - way on the South aide of Avon Street. It was agreed that the Oregon Short Line Railroad Oompany would move their railroad track to the South side of the street and pay for the curb and gutter to be ocnstruoted. BILL.NO. 21, BY HOFFMAN, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE, FIXING THE SCALE OF COMPENSATION FOR FIREMEN TMPLOYED IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF CALDGELL, IDAHO, was read the first time in pall. It was moved by Hoffman, seconded by Jackson that the rules requiring a bill to be reed on three separate days be enepended, and that Bill No. 21 be read second time by title, third time in full section by section and placed on,its final passage. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll with the following result. AYES: DAVIS, DIIT'1'ON, Hamm, JACKSON AND MCCONNEL. HAYES: NONE. ABSENT, MtW ORD.
