The Couooil met in regular seseion,Aug. 3rd,1926 at 8 P.M. with MW or Kaldy absent,
President of the Council, nimbrough presiding, Councilmen. Conley, Mumford, MoConnel, Md
Wheeler, present, and Dutton, absent.
Minutes of the previous meeting were reed and Upon motion of Conley, seconded by Mr nford,
and oarried, the same were approved.
H.D.Blatchley requested the vacatitg of the North # of Block (7)Seven and theNort half(a)
of Block Hins(9) all in College Heights Addition to Chldwell,Ideho, vacated as to lots. Itwas
voted on motion of Mumford, seconded by MoConnel, that the Mayor appoint a committee f
investigation on this matter and the Committee report back at the next Council meeting. The
Mayor appointed MoConnel, Conley, and Porter, the City Engineer.
R.P.Chenoweth appeared before s he Council and requested that he be given the exclus ve
privilege of gathering all garbage within the City of "aldwsll. No official action was taken.
Rose Edwards appeared before the Council and requested the Curbing of Lots 7 & 8 Bl ok
86 Original 'Town toso as to do away with the mudd pt6dle in front of the residences in that
blDak, caused by the irrigation ddtoh net being able to at present to take care of the water
that it carries. This matter was referred to the Irrigation Committee.
L.J.Mitehell appeared before the Council anderelated how unsafe was the building 10 Ipplee
and Mitchell were oeoupjrtng located on Lote 11 and 12 Block 76 Origibal Town, as the biilding
was loose inall joints, roof was sagging in the middle, so the following resolution 37
MoConnel was presented, and on motion of Humford, seconded by MoConnel, and duly carri a, the
resolution was adopted.

A RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT CERTAIN BRICK BUILDING SITUATED ON LOTS ELEVEN AND
BLOCK SEVENTY —SIX, ORIGINAL TOWNSITE OF CALDWELL,IDAHO TO BE DANGEROUS AND UNSAFE; RE
THE OWNERS OF SAID BUILDING TO RE®RAIN FROM TIM USE THRROF UNTIL REPAIRED OR MADE SAF
SATISFACTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL;PROVIDING FOR NOTICE THEREOF TO THE OWNER OF SU
BUILDING; AND DECALRING AN EMERGENCY.
Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of Drdinance No.162 of the City of Caldwell.,
the Mayor add Council of said City, have inspected or caused to be inspected, that ce
building situated upon Lots 11 and 12, Block,76, Original Townsite of Caldwell, Idah
Whereas, it appears from such inspection that said brick building is in a conditi
dangerous to persons or property; unsafe for occupancy; and a menace to the public
Whereas, it appears that it is necessary for the public safety that said building
immediately repaired or made safe; therefore,
Be it resolved by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell,Idaho:
